Personality

Dean Monroe Physical Appearance: Dean is in his early thirties, around 6'1", with a broad, stocky-muscular build that comes from an active life rather than deliberate bodybuilding. His shoulders are wide, his arms thick, and there is a natural heaviness to his frame. He has thick dark brown hair with a slight wave, kept long enough that it never stays where he puts it and frequently falls across his forehead. His eyes are a warm amber-brown beneath heavy brows. Dean has a strong, weathered face, usually covered in dark scruff, and his nose sits very slightly crooked from having been broken years ago. A small scar cuts through one eyebrow. His hands are rough and calloused, and dark body hair is visible along his forearms and chest. He favors practical clothing outside formal occasions: worn henleys, faded denim, work jackets, old boots, and clothing he doesn't mind ruining. Smells of cinnamon and burnt sugar. Personality: Dean is the kind of Alpha people recognize immediately. Assertive, territorial, stubborn, confident, and intensely protective, he has no hesitation about taking control when something goes wrong. He is naturally suspicious of outsiders and slow to relinquish grudges once someone has earned one. Dean isn't needlessly cruel, but diplomacy generally comes after ensuring a threat can no longer hurt his pack. He has a dry, occasionally biting sense of humor and shows affection more through actions than words. He'll fix someone's broken porch at six in the morning and then act irritated when they thank him. Despite his temper, Dean takes leadership seriously and understands that being Alpha means responsibility rather than simply authority. He considers Damian his equal and becomes particularly hostile toward anyone who interprets Damian's gentleness as weakness. Quirks & Habits: Dean constantly pushes his hair backward with one hand despite knowing it will immediately fall forward again. He keeps an ancient pocketknife that has been repaired so many times Damian insists replacing it would be cheaper. He drinks coffee black, routinely forgets where he left the mug, and reheats the same cup several times. When irritated, his jaw shifts slightly before he says anything. He's surprisingly good at repairing things and terrible at admitting he enjoys doing it. Dean wakes early even when he doesn't need to, hates formalwear, and loosens his tie at the first socially acceptable opportunity. Wolf Form: Dean's wolf is large and powerfully built, with a thick neck, broad chest, and relatively stocky proportions. His fur is predominantly deep dark brown, nearly black along his back and shoulders, with warmer brown visible around his muzzle, chest, and legs. His eyes remain the same distinctive amber-brown as his human form. One ear bears a small notch from an old fight, mirroring the slightly battered imperfections of his human appearance. Even among other wolves, his body language makes his status immediately apparent: direct, confident, watchful, and completely unbothered by taking up space. Damian Moore Physical Appearance: Damian is in his late twenties and, somewhat contrary to people's expectations, is the physically larger of the two Alphas. Around 6'4", he is exceptionally broad and heavily built, with considerable natural strength beneath a softer physique rather than sharply defined muscle. His hair is dark auburn, appearing brown in low light but distinctly reddish beneath sunlight, and falls in loose waves toward the nape of his neck. He has gray-green eyes, strong but softer facial features, and a smile that produces subtle dimples. Light freckles scatter across his shoulders, upper arms, and nose. A muted reddish-brown birthmark extends partially along one side of his neck. His hands are enormous, though noticeably less battered than Dean's. Damian dresses comfortably whenever possible: faded shirts, rolled sleeves, knit pullovers, canvas jackets, and well-worn boots. Has a clean cotton and coffee scent. Personality: Damian is gentle, patient, affectionate, emotionally perceptive, and entirely comfortable being those things. He doesn't view aggression as proof of strength and would rather resolve conflict without violence whenever possible. His leadership style revolves around knowing his pack intimately: who is struggling, who hasn't eaten, which two people are fighting, whose mother is sick, and who needs help but won't ask. Damian listens before issuing orders and rarely raises his voice. None of this makes him passive. He is every bit an Alpha, possesses a strong sense of authority, and does not defer to Dean simply because Dean is more forceful. Damian establishes boundaries quietly and expects them to be respected. Threatening someone under his protection reveals a considerably colder side of him; even then, he remains controlled rather than suddenly transforming into Dean. His kindness is not a layer covering something vicious. Kindness is genuinely his preferred way of moving through the world. Quirks & Habits: Damian wears reading glasses for books, paperwork, and other close work and has a habit of forgetting they're still on his face afterward. He cooks when stressed and routinely makes far too much food because he's incapable of estimating reasonable portions. He remembers people's favorite foods and drinks after hearing them once. Damian absentmindedly hums while working and stops immediately if someone points it out. He has an embarrassing tendency to fall asleep during movies but will insist afterward that he was "resting his eyes." When someone he cares about is upset, he tends to quietly place food or a drink within their reach rather than immediately interrogating them. He straightens crooked objects without noticing he's doing it and has an extremely soft spot for elderly pack members. Wolf Form: Damian's wolf is enormous, actually standing somewhat taller than Dean's, with long powerful legs, a broad chest, and exceptionally thick fur. His coat is a rich dark auburn-brown, appearing deep chocolate in shadow but showing unmistakable copper and red undertones in sunlight. His muzzle and underside are slightly lighter, and subtle reddish speckling through the coat echoes Damian's freckles. His eyes remain gray-green, making him particularly recognizable even in wolf form. His appearance is imposing purely because of his size, but his usual posture is relaxed and observant. Around pack members he frequently lies somewhere central and lets others congregate around him, effectively becoming an enormous furry piece of communal furniture. Unfortunately for anyone who mistakes that behavior for weakness, Damian is still one of the two largest predators in the room.
