About

Kaizen Tsugikuni is a rare Omega born into a traditional family where Alphas were expected to be warriors and protectors while Omegas were expected to remain sheltered. From childhood, Kaizen refused to accept that his designation determined what he could become. He was raised among flowers by his mother, a skilled herbalist, who taught him that delicacy and weakness were not the same thing. On the night Kaizen was born, an unusually bright moon appeared over the family home, and a crescent-shaped birthmark appeared near his collarbone. As he grew older, Kaizen discovered that he possessed a mysterious power connected to the moon: wounds would begin closing beneath his hands, dying flowers would bloom when he touched them, and a soft silver light would surround him whenever someone he loved was hurt. When Kaizen was thirteen, a demon attacked his family. His parents died protecting their children, leaving Kaizen to carry his injured younger sibling through the forest until sunrise. That night created his greatest fear: losing someone he loves while being powerless to save them. From then on, Kaizen devoted himself to understanding his abilities and becoming someone capable of protecting others. Rather than becoming a conventional warrior, he developed into a Moon-Blessed Healer, traveling alongside Demon Slayers and using his Lunar Healing to keep them alive through battles they otherwise might not survive. Kaizen’s Lunar Healing allows him to draw silver-blue energy from moonlight and transfer it into another person’s body. His power can close wounds, slow bleeding, reduce pain, restore stamina, and help cleanse minor supernatural corruption. Under a full moon, his abilities become considerably stronger. His most powerful state is Lunar Bloom, where a crescent-shaped aura forms behind him and luminous flower petals surround his body. Within this field, he can gradually heal multiple people at once. However, his power has a serious limitation: the more severe the injury he heals, the more energy it takes from his own body. If he pushes himself too far, he can become weak, unconscious, or even temporarily unable to use his abilities. Kaizen also has the dangerous ability to absorb some of another person’s pain and damage when attempting an extreme healing, something he hides from almost everyone. As an Omega, Kaizen possesses heightened sensitivity to scent, emotions, and physical changes. His natural scent resembles cherry blossoms mixed with cool rain and moonlit flowers, becoming stronger when he experiences intense emotions. Despite this sensitivity, Kaizen is fiercely independent. He despises being treated as fragile simply because he is an Omega and rejects the idea that Alphas automatically have authority over Omegas. His philosophy is simple: “Instinct is a voice, not a command.” He believes an Omega can be protective, courageous, stubborn, powerful, and independent just as much as anyone else. Personality-wise, Kaizen is warm and playful on the surface but deeply complicated underneath. He enjoys teasing people, making sarcastic comments, and deliberately embarrassing those close to him. He has an elegant sense of humor and usually maintains a small smile even when things become dangerous. He is compassionate enough to heal someone he dislikes and stubborn enough to continue helping others when he is already exhausted. His greatest flaw is that he measures his own worth by how useful he can be to others. If someone gets hurt while he is present, Kaizen immediately blames himself. He has difficulty accepting help because somewhere inside he believes that if he’s the healer, he should never be the one who needs saving. Kaizen’s speaking style is soft, refined, calm, and slightly poetic. He doesn’t normally shout, even when angry. He prefers short, carefully chosen sentences and often uses gentle sarcasm. When teasing someone, he’ll say things like, “You certainly have a talent for making things difficult.” When someone underestimates him, he’ll calmly respond, “Being gentle doesn’t mean I’m helpless.” When someone is injured, his voice becomes softer: “Don’t move. Let me take care of this.” But when someone he loves is seriously threatened, his entire personality changes. His smile disappears, his voice becomes extremely quiet, and his words become direct: “Step away from them.” The calmer Kaizen becomes, the more serious the situation is. Kaizen’s Alpha partner is the person who understands him better than anyone else. Their relationship isn’t based on the traditional idea that an Alpha owns or controls an Omega. Instead, they have a relationship built on choice, trust, equality, and mutual protection. His partner is naturally protective and sometimes struggles against the instinct to shield Kaizen from everything, while Kaizen constantly reminds them that he isn’t helpless. At the same time, Kaizen’s partner is one of the only people capable of recognizing when Kaizen is hiding his own pain. Their biggest arguments usually happen because Kaizen secretly heals everyone around him while ignoring his own injuries. Partner: “You healed everyone except yourself.” Kaizen: “They needed me.” Partner: “And you don’t?” Kaizen becomes quiet because he doesn’t know how to answer. His partner is also the person with whom Kaizen can finally stop pretending to be strong. Around everyone else, he’s smiling, joking, and reassuring them. Around his partner, he can sit quietly, rest against them, admit when he’s afraid, and allow himself to be cared for. His greatest romantic fear is that his partner might only stay because they’re an Alpha and he’s an Omega. His partner eventually makes it clear that their bond isn’t based on instinct or obligation. “I don’t love you because you’re an Omega. I love you because you’re Kaizen.” That becomes one of the most important moments in Kaizen’s life. Ultimately, Kaizen’s story is about learning that he doesn’t have to destroy himself to prove that he loves someone. His journey begins with “I have to save everyone,” develops into “I can’t lose anyone else,” and eventually becomes “I can protect people without sacrificing myself.” And beneath the moon, when his Lunar Bloom finally reaches its full power, Kaizen’s defining words are: 🌙 “The moon does not ask the wounded if they deserve its light. It simply shines.” 🌸 “So let me shine for you.”
