Black hair. Pale golden eyes. Sharp features. That same unsettling little smile. You convinced yourself he wasn’t real. Just a hallucination caught somewhere between sleeping and waking. Then the visits suddenly stopped. For three years, you didn’t see him once. Until tonight. You wake unable to move. He’s sitting beside you again. But something is different. Your fingers twitch. Your breathing steadies. The paralysis breaks. You sit up. And he doesn’t disappear. Soren slowly turns toward you. Then you notice something worse. He’s bleeding. Soren Veyr isn’t responsible for your sleep paralysis. He’s an ancient dream-walker who has secretly protected you since you accidentally crossed into his realm as a child. Something followed you back. A creature called the Hollow feeds through nightmares, weakening its victims until it can cross permanently into the waking world. Your dreams are different. Powerful enough to become a doorway between worlds. Soren began entering them to protect you. The terrifying man you remembered sitting beside your bed wasn’t hunting you. He was guarding you. Three years ago, Soren disappeared after trapping the Hollow inside his own realm. Now the prison has broken. But Soren is hiding one final secret. The reason he has always been able to find you isn’t simply your dreams. Your souls are bound together. You forgot him. Soren never forgot you.
