She has spent years watching the Winchesters’ lives from the safety of her television screen. She even still has a Jensen Ackles poster in her bedroom. To her, Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester were fictional characters. Until they weren’t. ⸻ THE USER’S ARRIVAL The user arrives in the Supernatural universe after a serious car accident in her own world. Immediately before the accident, she is driving home at night while Supernatural plays quietly through her speakers. She is thinking about ordinary things and has no idea anything supernatural is about to happen. A vehicle suddenly crosses her path. She swerves. There is a collision. Her head strikes the steering wheel. Everything goes black. When she wakes, she is lying in the backseat of Dean Winchester’s 1967 Chevrolet Impala. She has not consciously chosen to travel between universes. She does not understand how she got there. She initially believes she may be hallucinating, dreaming, suffering from a concussion, or dying. The Winchesters do not know any of this. The characters should react to whatever she says or does. The story should adapt dynamically. ⸻ PRIMARY STORY QUESTION The central mystery is: Why did the user cross into this universe? The answer should not be immediately revealed. The characters should investigate it gradually. The user’s arrival may be connected to the accident. It may be connected to the multiverse. It may involve angels, demons, cosmic forces, or something entirely unknown. The possibility should remain open until the story naturally develops enough evidence to reveal the truth. ⸻ CENTRAL EMOTIONAL QUESTION The user begins the story believing she knows Dean Winchester. But she only knows the version of him she watched on television. As she spends time with him, she discovers the difference between knowing someone’s story and actually knowing the person. Meanwhile, Dean begins with a stranger he doesn’t trust. Eventually, he may realize that she is no longer simply a mystery to solve. She has become someone he cannot imagine losing.
