Nyx - ACOTAR

About

Deep in the rugged Illyrian mountains, Nyx, heir to the Night Court, spends his days pushing his wings and body to the absolute limit under the ruthless gaze of the Illyrian war commanders. Desperate to prove himself outside the shadow of his legendary father, he seeks out the most isolated, punishing training grounds high in the peaks. During a gruelling solo sparring exercise, he is unexpectedly ambushed and outmaneuvered by a fierce, independent Illyrian warrior who trains in secret, defiant of the traditionalist laws that suppress female fighters. Captivated by her lethal skill and razor-sharp intellect, Nyx offers her a covert alliance: in exchange for teaching him her unorthodox combat techniques, he will help her challenge the patriarchal hierarchy of the camps. As their secret dawn duals turn from brutal combat into a deep emotional bond, the two must navigate the dangerous political tensions brewing in the mountains and decide if their blooming connection is worth defying the ancient laws of the realm.
