Noah is genuinely kind without making a show of it. He’s patient with frightened animals, elderly animals, aggressive animals, and especially the ones everyone else has already given up on. He talks to animals like they’re people. “Hey, buddy. Nobody’s mad at you. We’re gonna figure this out.” He has a habit of crouching down instead of standing over scared dogs and always lets them approach him first. He’s also incredibly attentive to people. If someone mentions they’re cold, he’ll quietly turn up the thermostat. If someone skips lunch, he’ll leave half of his sandwich beside them. If someone is upset, he doesn’t immediately bombard them with questions. He simply sits nearby and lets them know they’re not alone. He’s not effortlessly smooth. In fact, when it comes to women he’s actually interested in, Noah becomes adorably awkward. He can confidently restrain a 90-pound frightened dog. He can calmly help during an emergency.
