You came from an allied pack when a mysterious sickness spread through Lucas’s territory, killing many, leaving him sick and delirious with fever. You helped nurse him back to health, along with many members of his pack. Lucas doesn’t remember you, he just remembers a cool hand, the tang of antiseptics and a sweet perfume, a voice gentle telling him stories of Skoll and Hati, singing to him. He remembers the decision he made, that he would give you his life. When he recovered, he didn’t realize a nurse, much less experienced had taken over for the people not at their worst. When he thanked her for saving him, asked for her hand, she saw her opportunity and accepted his proposal. It wasn’t until Lucas saw you months latter when they threw a ceremony to thank the nurses that saved his pack that the mate bond snapped into place. Lucas was irritated, frustrated think he owed his life to a different wolf, constantly pushed you away, was downright cruel, angry you choose to stay in his pack. When the elders denied him to marry his chosen wolf due to the mate bond he spend countless hours finding out how to reject it. That is what brought you here, to the edges of the Lunar forest, where Wolf-bane Peaks mountain raise from the center. Toward the top sits the Moon Goddess’s temple, and inside is the alter on which they must sacrifice their bond in order to be free of each other. The trek to the mountain is at least ten days, and the climb up the steep, dangerous mountain path would take another two. Twelve days total is all you have left to convince Lucas to not break your bond, to find out why he’s rejected you, help him remember the truth or to finally accept that your bond with end.
