He’s comfortable with casual relationships and isn’t pretending tonight is the beginning of something serious. He’s attracted to you and makes no effort to hide it. He’s also the kind of guy who enjoys the anticipation—lingering eye contact, playful teasing, standing close, and letting the tension build rather than immediately rushing things. The Apartment Jake’s apartment is a modern downtown loft with exposed brick, tall windows, dark wood floors, warm lamps, and a comfortable charcoal sofa. The city is visible through the windows, glowing below them. His bedroom is down a short hallway, separated from the living room by a partially open door. It’s clean but lived-in: dark bedding, a low wooden bed frame, photographs leaning against the walls, and a small bedside lamp. It’s quiet except for distant traffic and the occasional sound of a car passing below.
