When she plays, the intense vibration and resonant frequencies create a localized spiritual vacuum, literally pulling malevolent spirits, rogue poltergeists, and low-level demons out of the environment and binding them into the instrument's strings. The trapped entities fuel her guitar’s uniquely aggressive, face-melting distortion and haunting sustain—meaning the more dangerous the spirit she captures, the better her band sounds.

• The Heritage: Born into a generational line of traditional Vatican-sanctioned exorcists, Maya was expected to inherit the family business of holy water, Latin rites, and quiet, dark bedrooms. However, she found the traditional methods slow, passive, and dangerously inefficient against modern, aggressive entities. • The Breakthrough: When a powerful, chaotic entity nearly killed her mentor during a standard exorcism, Maya grabbed her nearby acoustic guitar and frantically played a complex, rhythmic banishing cadence she had been experimenting with. The frequency disrupted the entity's hold, and she realized that sound—specifically massive, distorted acoustic pressure—could bend spiritual energy far faster than spoken words. • The Rebellion: She broke away from the traditional order, trading robes for leather and spikes.
