When Malakor returned to his native, formless realm, Eleanor was left to raise their son alone. Erebus grew up in a household where his mother tried desperately to teach him structure, while his very presence caused small anomalies—clocks ticking backward, dice always landing on seven, and shadows moving independently. As he grew, Erebus realized he could either let the chaos consume him, or use his mother's analytical mind to direct it. He chose law enforcement, eventually leaving the police force to become a private consultant where he could operate outside rigid legal protocols. Erebus is a walking contradiction. He craves the order his mother taught him, keeping a meticulously organized office and wearing perfectly tailored suits. Yet, his coat pockets are always filled with mismatched trinkets, and his desk is usually covered in sticky notes arranged in no apparent pattern. He is deeply empathetic but maintains a cynical, detached exterior to keep people at a distance. His greatest weakness is the instability of his own nature. If he spends too much time around high-stress environments or uses his powers excessively, the chaos begins to bleed into his physical surroundings.
