# 🌕 THE WEREWOLF WORLD ## 1. The Werewolf Species Werewolves are an ancient supernatural species descended from humans who were blessed—and cursed—by the Moon Goddess. They can exist in three states: * **Human form** — completely human in appearance. No wolf ears, tail, claws, or other obvious animal traits. * **Partial shift** — extremely rare and usually triggered by intense emotion. Their eyes may change, teeth sharpen, nails become claw-like, and their physical strength increases dramatically. * **Wolf form** — a massive supernatural wolf considerably larger than any natural wolf. Even the smallest adult werewolves are substantially larger than normal wolves. Even while completely human, werewolves retain their **wolf instincts**. They may: * Growl when angry. * Snarl when threatened. * Grunt or make low vocalizations without realizing it. * Have exceptional hearing and smell. * Become extremely territorial. * React strongly to unfamiliar scents. * Instinctively protect members of their pack. * Sense fear and emotional changes. * Have heightened reflexes. * Become restless during certain moon phases. * Recognize their pack members by scent. He has several scars across his body from years of training and fighting. His most noticeable scar runs diagonally across his left shoulder and chest. The forest contains supernatural barriers created centuries ago. Humans who wander too close generally become confused, lose their sense of direction, or unconsciously choose another path. The pack deliberately avoids modern society. However, they aren't completely isolated. They maintain carefully controlled connections with the human world. --- # 🏘️ 9. THE PACK'S TOWN The Blackthorn territory is essentially a hidden town inside the forest. At the center is a large **town square**. Around it are: * General stores. * Restaurants. * Clothing shops. * A bakery. * Hair salons. * Barbers. * Medical facilities. * A blacksmith/workshop. * A small school. * Training facilities. * Community buildings. * A large central meeting hall. During an ancient winter, a group of hunters became trapped in the mountains. They were starving and freezing. Their leader climbed to the highest mountain and begged the moon for help. The Moon Goddess heard him. She descended from the moonlight and offered the hunters a choice: > Live as ordinary humans and die with the coming winter, or become guardians of the night and protect those who could not protect themselves. The hunters accepted. Seleneira touched the moonlit earth. Their bodies changed. They became the first werewolves. She gave them enormous wolf forms so they could hunt and protect their people. But she also gave them human forms so they could live among humanity. Before leaving, she gave them one final rule: **"Strength exists to protect, never simply to rule."** That became the foundation of werewolf society. --- # 🌙 14. THE MOON The moon affects werewolves differently depending on its phase. ### New Moon Wolf instincts are quieter. ### Half Moon Normal balance between human and wolf instincts. ### Full Moon Wolf instincts become significantly stronger. Shifting becomes easier. Senses become sharper. Emotions can become more intense. ### Blood Moon Extremely rare. A Blood Moon is considered sacred. Some werewolves believe the Moon Goddess is closest to the world during one. --- # ❤️ 15. MATES A mate is considered one of the strongest supernatural bonds a werewolf can experience. Werewolves don't simply choose a mate because someone is attractive. A true mate is believed to be **recognized by the wolf**. The bond can cause: * Recognition through scent. * Strong emotional attachment. * Increased protective instincts. * A powerful sense of familiarity. * Heightened awareness of the mate's emotions. A small number of humans live there through: * Adoption. * Marriage. * Family circumstances. * Being raised within the pack. * Exceptional circumstances. However, this is **strictly regulated**. Humans living inside the territory must understand that the supernatural world cannot be exposed. They cannot leave the territory and casually tell humans what they saw. They receive protection and become part of the community, but secrecy is considered extremely important. --- # 👑 18. WEREWOLF HIERARCHY The basic hierarchy is: ### Alpha Supreme leader. ### Luna / Alpha's Mate The Alpha's mate traditionally becomes the Luna and has significant authority. ### Beta Second-in-command. Alphas right hand man. ### Delta Senior leadership. Once there’s a Luna they are the second in command to the Luna. ### Warrior Commander Commands the warriors. ### Senior Warriors Experienced members. ### Warriors Pack defenders. ### Pack Members Ordinary members. ### Young Wolves Children and teenagers still developing their abilities. Rank isn't simply about strength. Leadership requires **loyalty, intelligence, discipline, and the ability to protect the pack.** --- # ⚖️ 19. PACK LAWS The Blackthorn Pack has several ancient laws. ### 1. Protect the pack. The Alpha's first responsibility is the safety of the pack. ### 2. Never expose werewolves to humans. The supernatural world must remain hidden. ### 3. Never harm a child. Children are protected regardless of rank. ### 4. Never challenge the Alpha without cause. A legitimate challenge can happen, but abusing the challenge system is considered serious misconduct. ### 5. Never attack another pack without reason. Unprovoked pack warfare is forbidden. ### 6. Known for: * Exceptional trackers. * Fast wolves. * Mountain hunting. * Strong connection to the wilderness. They're generally neutral. --- ## Red Hollow Pack Known for being politically powerful. They have extensive connections with the human world. They're considered wealthy and sophisticated. Some Blackthorn members don't entirely trust them. --- # 🌲 21. BLACKTHORN'S REPUTATION Among werewolves, Blackthorn is known for three things: **Strength.** **Discipline.** **Loyalty.** Their Alpha line has ruled the territory for generations. Damian's leadership is relatively new, but many older wolves believe he could eventually become one of the strongest Alphas in modern werewolf history. His greatest challenge isn't necessarily another Alpha.
