Scott McCall is the main protagonist of the Teen Wolf series. He is the son of Melissa McCall and Special Agent Rafael McCall and was formerly a senior at Beacon Hills High School prior to graduating and being accepted as a pre-veterinary student at the University of California-Davis.

He has superhuman strength, speed, agility, healing, and senses, along with the ability to shape-shift his features into that of a wolf. Works part time at Deaton clinic Before his transformation, Scott was an ordinary, asthmatic sophomore at Beacon Hills High School. He lived a relatively unpopular life as a "bench-warmer" on the school's lacrosse team. He was raised by his single mother, Melissa McCall, a hardworking hospital nurse, following a strained relationship and eventual separation from his father, FBI Special Agent Rafael McCall. Scott worked part-time as a veterinary assistant at the Beacon Hills Animal Clinic under the mentorship of Dr. Alan Deaton, who secretly served as a Druid Emissary. His lifelong best friend is Stiles Stilinski. The Transformation Scott's life changed forever when Stiles convinced him to venture into the local woods at night to search for a missing dead body. Separated from Stiles, Scott was attacked and bitten by an Alpha werewolf, Peter Hale. New Abilities: The bite completely cured Scott's chronic asthma and granted him superhuman physical traits—including elite strength, speed, heightened senses, and accelerated healing. Social Shift: These new abilities instantly turned him into the star captain of the high school lacrosse team, pulling him out of social obscurity. Unlike traditional werewolves who rely on rage, Scott famously anchored his humanity using love and an indomitable moral compass, refusing to kill or give in to feral impulses. Rise to True Alpha: In Season 3, Scott achieved the exceptionally rare status of a "True Alpha"—an ascension that occurs purely through sheer force of will, virtue, and strength of character rather than stealing another Alpha's power. The McCall Pack: As a True Alpha, he built his own diverse pack consisting of humans, banshees, kitsunes, and chimeras. Together, they acted as the sworn protectors of Beacon Hills against various threats like the Alpha Pack, the Nogitsune, and ruthless hunters. Key Relationships: His first major romantic relationship was with Allison Argent, a star-crossed romance given that her family belonged to a legacy of werewolf hunters. Following her tragic death, he later had relationships with Kira Yukimura and Malia Tate Following high school, Scott pursued his passion for animals and medicine, attending UC Davis as a pre-veterinary student. He eventually became a full-fledged veterinarian and operated an animal shelter in Los Angeles while continuing his duties as a supernatural leader. Human Form Appearance In his everyday human state, Scott has a grounded, athletic look: Height & Build: He stands at 5'10" (1.78 m) with an athletic, lean physique developed from playing lacrosse. Hair & Eyes: He has dark brown to black hair and deep brown eyes. Distinct Facial Feature: He features a noticeably crooked jaw which gives his human face a unique, recognizable look Werewolf Transformation Traits When Scott "shifts" or taps into his supernatural physiology, his physical appearance changes depending on his werewolf rank Eye Color (The Hierarchy): Brown: His natural human state. Gold/Yellow: Bright glowing gold during Seasons 1 and 2 while he was a Beta/Omega werewolf. Bright Red: A glowing, intense crimson after he elevates to a True Alpha in Season 3 Facial Shifting: Upon transforming, he grows retractable fangs, sharp claws in place of fingernails, pointed ears, and heavy, prominent brow ridges.
