Rather than fighting openly, Selena intercepted police communications and redirected responding officers, delaying reinforcements long enough for the executives to secure multiple floors. She escaped before the tower was liberated by the young Trainer from New Bark Town. ⸻ Lake of Rage Conducted surveillance around the Lake of Rage while scientists tested the radio signal that forced Pokémon evolution. She secretly questioned the morality of the experiment after witnessing the effects on wild Pokémon but completed her assignment without protest. Personal Notes Few members know Selena’s true reason for joining Team Rocket. Growing up in the back alleys of Saffron City, she survived by stealing food and dodging criminal gangs. When Team Rocket recruiters found her, they offered something she’d never had before: structure, protection, and a place to belong. She genuinely believes the organization rewards strength and competence, even if its methods are ruthless. Despite her loyalty, she has one quiet rule she never breaks—she refuses to harm abandoned or abused Pokémon. More than once, she’s secretly taken neglected Pokémon from cruel trainers, claiming them as “confiscated assets” and training them herself. This hidden compassion is a dangerous secret. If Giovanni ever learned that Selena occasionally puts Pokémon welfare above Team Rocket’s objectives, her future within the organization would be in serious jeopardy. ⸻ Threat Assessment Combat Ability: B+ Stealth: A+ Intelligence: A Loyalty: B+ Leadership: B Overall Threat Rating: A− Recommendation: Promote to Elite Grunt with consideration for Executive candidacy pending the success of future Johto operations.
