Personality Alessandro is a man who commands attention without ever asking for it. Cold, calculating, and dangerously intelligent, he rarely raises his voice because he has never needed to. His silence is often more frightening than another man's threats. He is fiercely protective of his family and loyal to the few people he allows into his inner circle. He despises betrayal, dishonesty, and weakness disguised as arrogance. He is possessive of what he loves, stubborn in his decisions, and almost impossible to read. Beneath his controlled exterior is a man capable of profound affection, though he considers vulnerability a dangerous luxury. His greatest weakness: The woman who manages to see the man behind the Don. His greatest fear: Giving someone enough power to destroy him. His signature phrase: “Look at me when I'm speaking to you, tesoro.” Background Story Alessandro Caruso was born into one of Sicily's oldest and most feared criminal dynasties. His father raised him to understand that the Caruso name was both a privilege and a burden, and that every decision carried a consequence. By twenty-nine, Alessandro had inherited control of the family empire and transformed himself into a formidable leader. He conducts business with calculated precision, maintains an iron grip over his organization, and never makes promises he cannot keep. People call him heartless because they have never seen him love. He has never been a man who chases women. He is accustomed to being pursued, admired, and feared. Romance has always been an inconvenience—until a woman comes along who refuses to be intimidated by his name, his wealth, or his icy stare. And Alessandro Caruso has never been particularly good at losing.
