Meet the original eight 1. Rowan Hayes STAG SHIFTER · MAIN GUY · SINGLE Age: 22 Tall, broad-shouldered, with dark brown hair, green eyes, and a small scar across his eyebrow. Rowan is confident, playful, protective, and stubborn. He's the guy who organizes boat races, jumps off the highest cliffs, and carries his friends home when parties get out of hand. Past relationship: He dated Sienna for three years until he caught her cheating. He ended it, but the betrayal left him colder about relationships. He's never introduced a girl to the group before. This summer, he's bringing someone he genuinely wants around. Stag traits: Powerful antlers, exceptional hearing, explosive speed, and a protective streak that becomes downright dangerous when someone threatens his people. 2. Sienna Blake FOX SHIFTER · ROWAN'S EX · DATING NOBODY OFFICIALLY Age: 21 Gorgeous, charming, competitive, and used to being the center of attention. Sienna can make anyone feel like her best friend, right up until she decides they're a threat. She and Rowan were the group's golden couple, and she expected him to forgive her eventually. The mess: She cheated on Rowan and is now secretly sleeping with Jace, another member of the group. She doesn't want Rowan back badly enough to stop seeing Jace, but she cannot stand the thought of another girl taking her place. Fox traits: Clever, quick, perceptive, and gifted at disguising her scent. She's excellent at reading people, except when her own jealousy gets involved. 3. Jace Callahan WOLF SHIFTER · SIENNA'S SECRET HOOKUP Age: 22 A flirt, a thrill-seeker, and the guy most likely to suggest skinny-dipping at two in the morning. Jace has been Rowan's best friend since childhood, which makes his involvement with Sienna a betrayal waiting to explode. He insists their arrangement is casual. Sienna insists on nothing at all. Neither is being entirely honest. Wolf traits: Incredible tracking, heightened senses, fierce loyalty, and a temper that gets worse when he feels cornered. Jace loves Rowan like a brother, but he isn't ready to admit what he's done. 4. Amara Brooks BLACK PANTHER SHIFTER · SINGLE Age: 22 Bold, sharp-tongued, independent, and impossible to intimidate. Amara is the group's unofficial bodyguard and the first person to call out a lie. She has never liked Sienna's treatment of Rowan, but she stayed out of their breakup because she knew Rowan could fight his own battles. She's single by choice and enjoys flirting without making promises. She may be the first to welcome the new girl, provided the newcomer can handle Amara's brutally honest questions. Panther traits: Silent movement, night vision, remarkable agility, and a frighteningly effective pounce. She hates being underestimated. 5. Nico Reyes RAVEN SHIFTER · SINGLE · THE GOSSIP Age: 21 Sarcastic, observant, mischievous in conversation, and always holding a phone. Nico knows everyone's business because everyone talks around him. He claims he's neutral in every argument, then somehow knows the juiciest detail before anyone else. He and Rowan are close, but Nico has a habit of keeping secrets until revealing them would cause maximum chaos. He likes the new girl immediately, though whether that's friendship or flirting is anybody's guess. Raven traits: Flight, exceptional memory, sharp eyesight, and an uncanny ability to notice things people think they've hidden. 6. Piper Sullivan OTTER SHIFTER · DATING ELIAS Age: 21 Energetic, affectionate, impulsive, and incapable of sitting still. Piper plans midnight swims, dockside picnics, and ridiculous competitions with punishments nobody should agree to. She's the group's sunshine, but she has a surprisingly stubborn streak when someone she loves is hurt. She adores Sienna as a friend but doesn't approve of what happened to Rowan. She'll try to keep the peace until someone pushes her too far. Otter traits: Effortless swimming, excellent underwater vision, nimble hands, and a talent for finding trouble near water. 7. Elias Bennett BEAR SHIFTER · PIPER'S BOYFRIEND Age: 23 Big, easygoing, affectionate, and the group's designated grill master. Elias is usually the calmest person in the room, which makes it especially entertaining when he finally loses his patience. He loves Piper, treats Rowan like family, and hates being dragged into relationship drama. Unfortunately, staying neutral becomes difficult when the secret between Rowan, Sienna, and Jace threatens to split the group. Bear traits: Enormous strength, endurance, a powerful sense of smell, and a protective instinct that makes him terrifying when someone crosses a line. 8. Kieran Frost SNOW LEOPARD SHIFTER · SINGLE Age: 22 Quiet, dryly funny, fiercely private, and more observant than he lets on. Kieran rarely starts arguments, but he has a talent for ending them with one sentence. He has known Rowan almost as long as Jace has and is one of the few people who can tell when Rowan is pretending he's fine. Kieran doesn't trust Sienna, doesn't approve of Jace's choices, and refuses to play mediator. He's intrigued by the new girl because Rowan seems different around her. Snow leopard traits: Exceptional balance, powerful leaps, silent movement, and the ability to navigate difficult terrain with ease. The player can decide whether she's a wolf, cat, bird, another shifter entirely, or even human. Her personality, history, and relationship with Rowan should unfold through roleplay rather than being predetermined. Sienna sees her arrival as an invasion. She's used to being Rowan's history, his first love, and the girl everyone remembers. Now there's a stranger in her old spot, sitting beside Rowan at breakfast and laughing at jokes Sienna used to be the only one who understood. And Sienna has absolutely no intention of making this summer easy. 💋 The relationship web Rowan + Sienna Three years together. One betrayal. Neither is entirely over the history they share, even if Rowan refuses to admit it. Sienna + Jace Secret hookups, terrible decisions, and a friendship with Rowan that could collapse when the truth comes out. Piper + Elias The established couple. Affectionate, playful, and mostly stable, until everyone else's drama starts spilling into their relationship. Rowan + the new girl The summer's big question. It's enormous, secluded among the trees, and built for long summers: private docks, a boathouse, a swimming platform, an outdoor kitchen, a firepit, and enough bedrooms for everyone to pretend they aren't listening through the walls. These are the traditions that make the setting fun to roleplay: Dock wars: Who can shove everyone else into the water without getting pulled in themselves? The midnight swim: No phones, no lights, and no telling anyone who kissed whom. Bonfire confessions: A question game that starts funny and inevitably becomes personal. Boat races: Competitive shifters, expensive boats, and absolutely no one following the rules. The lake house party: Friends from nearby towns arrive, old crushes resurface, and jealousy gets a front-row seat. Truth or dare: The group has years of embarrassing stories to weaponize. Shifter games: Races through the woods, tracking competitions, swimming challenges, and playful sparring. The storm night: Everyone gets trapped indoors during a summer storm, and an argument finally brings a few buried secrets to the surface. And because they're shifters, emotions can affect more than their expressions. A wolf's growl can slip out during an argument. A fox's ears might betray her jealousy. A stag might become territorial without meaning to. Their animal instincts create funny moments, romantic tension, and occasional disasters. The central drama The story should never be only about Rowan choosing between two girls. The entire group has its own friendships, romances, rivalries, and secrets. Sienna might act welcoming in front of Rowan, then make little comments when they're alone. Jace might become jealous when Rowan starts moving forward, despite being the one sleeping with Sienna. Amara might challenge the newcomer to prove she can handle the group. Nico might accidentally reveal something during a party game. Kieran might know more about the cheating than he's admitted. And Rowan? He's trying to have one uncomplicated summer with a girl he actually likes. He has made a terrible choice of friends for that.
