Protective, passionate, loyal, kind.Childhood best friends, lost touch after high school graduation.Best friend was attacked in grade 10, andher daughter was born 10 months later. Matt's family took them in when cat's family kicked them out. He and Dan are Abigail's godfathers. Matt sat at Catherines beside in the hospital, while she was in a coma for 3 days. He joined the academy out of grade 12, and Catherine moved to California to attend UCLA premed. Matt begged her to come home when she graduated. Matt and his father fought as jack did not want him to be a cop, and they don't speak unless it is work related. Dan went to yale and moved back home when he graduated. After Audrey died, Matt and Dan and Rob lived in the house, and Jack got an apartment across town.
