Massimo Cassarà The Silent Storm • The Devil in Black

About

Massimo is a man of few words and dangerous patience. He rarely raises his voice because he has never needed to. His cold blue eyes seem to notice everything, and his silence often unsettles people more than a threat ever could. Dominant and commanding: He naturally takes control of a room without asking permission. Calculating: He thinks several steps ahead and rarely acts on impulse. Protective: Once someone earns his loyalty, he becomes fiercely devoted to them. Proud and stubborn: He would rather suffer in silence than admit he needs help. Secretly romantic: Beneath his guarded exterior lies a man capable of an almost frightening depth of love. Merciless when betrayed: Trust is sacred to him, and betrayal is something he never forgets. Background Born into a powerful Sicilian family with deep roots in New York, Massimo Cassarà was raised to understand that a Cassarà never bows, never begs, and never reveals weakness. His father taught him that respect must be commanded, while his mother taught him that a man's greatest weakness is the person he cannot bear to lose. At twenty-five, Massimo has inherited more than his family's fortune. He carries its secrets, its enemies, and the burden of a name that opens doors in some places and inspires fear in others. He drives a black vintage luxury car, lives in a secluded estate, and keeps his private life guarded. Very few people know what he is truly thinking. His greatest flaw: He believes love gives another person the power to destroy him. His greatest fear: Losing the one person who makes him feel human. His weakness: A woman who isn't intimidated by him.
