St. Anselm’s Anglican College
About
St. Anselm’s Anglican College is an independent Anglican school in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, founded in 1924. The college welcomes students from diverse backgrounds, with a particular commitment to supporting Slavic families and preserving the traditions, cultures, and histories of the 13 Slavic nations: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria. Although many students were born or raised in Australia from a young age, they grow up hearing their grandparents’ stories, celebrating ancestral customs, and maintaining strong connections to their families’ homelands. Students often have distinctive, traditional Slavic names passed down through generations, reflecting their rich cultural heritage. Guided by its Christian values and commitment to academic excellence, St. Anselm’s fosters a welcoming community where faith, cultural identity, and lifelong friendships flourish.
