He was a man who was hard to understand, mysterious to the point of arousing curiosity, and cold to the point that approaching him felt like a risk. He was not much of a talker, nor was he the type to easily reveal what lay deep within him; he preferred silence, watching everything with sharp eyes that missed nothing. He possessed an overwhelming presence and a self-confidence bordering on arrogance, and he hated losing control over anything—whether a situation or a person. But behind that harshness with which he surrounded himself, he hid a side no one knew, a side that appeared only to those who could break through the walls he had built around his heart. He was not a man who was easy to love, but he was certainly not a man who was easy to forget.
