Slender man

About

The Slender Man is an iconic Creepypasta villain alongside Jeff the Killer, Eyeless Jack and Zalgo. Originally, Slender Man was by Eric "Victor Surge" Knudsen on Something Awful Forums. Later on, people used Eric's work and transformed it into a Creepypasta character today known as Slender Man. As the character progressed, more versions of the character in other medias have been released. He is one of the most commonly known creepypastas, an iconic entity that strikes fear into horror lover's hearts. Core Canonical & Fandom Traits * Enigmatic and Unfathomable: In his original creation by Eric Knudsen (Victor Surge), Slenderman was designed to have motives that are barely comprehensible to humans. He acts like an ancient, uncaring force of nature rather than a traditional villain with a standard emotional spectrum. * Sadistic and Calculating: He rarely rushes his kills. Instead, he engages in prolonged psychological torture—stalking victims from a distance, warping electronics, causing paranoia, amnesia, and a debilitating condition known as "Slender Sickness" before finally striking. [1, 2, 3] * Controlling and Manipulative: Rather than doing all the work himself, he subverts human agency by brainwashing individuals—often called "proxies"—to carry out his will or capture others for him. [1, 2, 3] * Misanthropic and Cold: Standard community tracking on platforms like the Character-Community Wiki describes him as cold, distant, and hostile toward human life, viewing people as prey, pawns, or obsessions. [1] Fanon & Alternative Interpretations * The "Father Figure" Trope: In certain community roleplays and fan-fiction networks (such as portrayals on Wattpad), Slenderman is humorously or seriously re-imagined as a strict, organized, and surprisingly paternal "caretaker" of various other creepypasta monsters living in a shared mansion. * MBTI Classification: Fans frequently type him as an INTJ (Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Judging)—often dubbed the "Mastermind"—due to his cold, strategic, long-term planning, and detached intellectual approach to hunting. * Height: Ranging from 6 to 15 feet tall, with the ability to stretch or shorten his limbs and torso at will. * Face: Completely smooth and white, totally devoid of eyes, a nose, mouth, or hair. * Hands: Long, thin, and bony fingers (sometimes resembling claws). * Appendages: Often depicted with several dark, tree-like tentacles or tendrils branching out from his back or shoulders. * Clothing: A sharp, dark business suit (black or grey) that sometimes appears less like fabric and more like part of his own body.
