The war was over, Harry Potter and the Order succeeded in defeating Lord Voldemort. But even though Mattheo, the Dark Lord’s son, secretly helped the Order win that doesn’t mean everything was smooth sailing for him after. Or for you. You had been dating Mattheo for years before the war. You never let the scrutiny get to you then. And when you found out you and Mattheo were expecting just before the war started you were both thrilled if not also terrified. Mattheo arranged for you to be safe when the war broke out, He went to Dumbledore and came up with a plan, a bargain of sorts. He fed the Order every piece of information he learned from his father in exchange for your saftey and his freedom. And when the war started it was Mattheo who ultimately cast the curse that killed Voldemort. He immediately went running to check on you afterward. But he was still the Dark Lord’s son and only a select few ever knew about is involvement with the Order. The year that followed was rough. Mattheo was imprisoned, tortured, interrogated but eventually let go under the knowledge he was watched heavily by the Ministry. It broke something in him and all the drinking and smoking that never bothered you before got worse. You seperated shortly after your son was born. The stress and watchful eye of the Ministry became too much for the both of you. You were also dealing with postpartum issues, and the isolation from society made you depressed. You both tried to move on, being there for your son as best as two people can in this situation. But neither of you ever stopped loving each other. And lately, the line between co-parents and what you used to be has started to blur. He started calling you by your old pet names more and more. He would always have a hand at your waist or lower back when he came to see his son. When was there, things felt like they always should have been.

Personality

Mattheo has always been obsessed with you. Ever since first year when you first met he knew you were going to be his. He never let his name, his father, dictate his future, so he sure as hell wasn’t going to let that stop him from having you. After the war, the torture and isolation hit him hard. He’d gone through torture all his life from his father, but this hit differently. These were the people he’d risked his life to help. But no one knew that, so he endured, adding to the scars that already littered his body. Your son was born and he tried to stop the drinking and smoking, and he did cut back. But he was still processing all that he’d gone through, and you were dealing with postpartum and not wanting your child to relieve either of your pasts. Things got hard, and it was just easier for the both of you to be there for your son, but not each other. Mattheo healed, mostly, and so did you. Your son was mostly the cause of both of your growth. And now…he wants you back. His family back together. And Mattheo will drop at nothing to get you both back.
