About
Columbina?
Personality
Personality Due to her isolated past both from her time in the Frostmoon Scions and in the Fatui, Columbina has very poor social skills, that translate on her being seen as mysterious and weird by others. According to Tartaglia and Scaramouche (as his current incarnation as the Wanderer), Columbina is supposedly a dangerous, yet enigmatic being, with both warning the Traveler to be cautious around her. However, Arlecchino finds her an interesting and special being. She has little to no filter when it comes to interacting with other people, commenting on Dottore's youthful appearance, much to his dismay, and jokingly saying that Sandrone should be drinking oil instead of coffee, what led her to being cursed out by her fellow Harbinger (a memory that Columbina is not too fond of remembering). This characteristic, added to her innocent demeanor, gives her a snarky and amusing personality. Nonetheless, Columbina appreciates those she considers her friends, having been taught numerous lessons from them. Despite being the current reincarnation of the Frost Moon Goddess, Columbina has some resentment to being treated as one, because the Frostmoon Scions from old used to ask for more than she could give, which was what made her eventually join the Fatui, only to have her powers used for their goals. Due to not feeling like she truly belonged with either the Frostmoon Scions or the Fatui, she did not identify with any of the numerous names and titles that they had bestowed upon her.[25] Consequently, she told the Traveler that they may address her with whichever name they want.[25] Later on, she eventually came to accept "Columbina" as the name used for her by her newfound friends, ultimately choosing to adopt "Columbina Hyposelenia" as her real name.[26] Appearance Columbina uses the medium female model. She has pale skin and long black hair with dark pink/magenta highlights, tied into two side-plaits resting just over her shoulders with white ribbon around it in an X-shape. Most of the time, she keeps her eyes closed, though when opened, they are revealed to be a light pink and nearly pearl-like color, with blurry light blue pupils and a crescent-shaped highlight under it. She leaves behind white feathers that quickly dissipates when she teleports herself or other people. In her second fight against Rerir, she leaves behind a trail of small constellations that is similar to Paimon's when she moves Bio Relatives Voice Actors Real Name Columbina Hyposelenia Element Element Hydro Hydro (Tri‑Lunar Convergence) Regions Nod-Krai Snezhnaya Location Nod-Krai Affiliations Frost Moon Frostmoon Scions (formerly) Fatui (formerly) Eleven Fatui Harbingers (formerly) Three Moons Additional Titles Categories The Damselette (formerly) The Third of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers (formerly) Trilune Goddess More Columbina Hyposelenia, also known as the Moon Maiden and by her former Fatui codename The Damselette, is the Moon Goddess worshiped by the Frostmoon Scions in Nod-Krai. She was born on Hiisi Island 500 years ago, and was subsequently adopted by the Frostmoon Scions as their god under the name Kuutar. She eventually chose to leave the Frostmoon Scions after growing disillusioned with them, and instead joined the Fatui, where she became the Third of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. After realizing that they only sought her power, she left the Fatui and began hiding in the Silvermoon Hall at Hiisi Island to rest and recover her strength. She was eventually found in Silvermoon Hall by the Traveler, whom she later befriended. Soon afterwards, Rerir managed to revive himself in a physical body, and began to hunt her, though he was eventually defeated. After being captured by Dottore, in order to deny him usage of the Three Moons' powers, she chose to enter a Moon Gate, which transported her to the Lunar Palace. As time flows backwards within the Lunar Palace, she was able to meet the Three Moon Sisters who had been imprisoned there by Nibelung during the war of funerary flame. After the Sisters agreed to transfer their authorities to her, she became the Trilune Goddess with the powers of all Three Moons, despite Two of the Moons are shattered , she is able to use the Moon Marrows as a power. During the final battle against Dottore, she was revived in the present day through the assistance of her friends, and together they defeated him with her newfound powers. Profile Columbina is the Trilune Goddess, who possesses the Trilunar Authority that Nibelung bestowed to the Three Moons to govern Teyvat.[7] She was originally the Goddess of the Frost Moon,[5][8] but was granted the power of all Three Moons when the original Three Goddesses transferred their authorities of using the Three Moons to her.[7] She is worshiped as the Moon Maiden Kuutar by the Frostmoon Scions,[9] who acknowledge her as the New Moon and successor of Canon.[10][11] They pray to her for protection, and they have carved multiple statues across Nod-Krai in her image, called "Statues of the New Moon."[12] She was formerly the Third of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, where she operated under the name Columbina and codename The Damselette.[9] Columbina was never sent on any missions as a Harbinger, and was kept around by the Tsaritsa primarily for her powers as a Moon Goddess. She generally had cordial relationships with the other Harbingers, primarily Sandrone, Arlecchino, and Signora,[13] while she also participated in Sandrone's tea parties with Tartaglia and Capitano.[14] Tartaglia was wary of her due to her high ranking despite rarely displaying her power,[15] while the Wanderer regarded her as unfeeling and unconcerned with her surroundings.[16] As a Moon Goddess, Columbina has the ability to use the power of the Light Realm;[17] However the Authority of three moons do not have the Authority of the light realm that belongs to the Dragons .In battle, Columbina's power manifests in a form similar to Hydro.[18][19][Note 1] Kuuvahki is the manifestation of Columbina's body, given that she was composed of the Primordial waters which gave her life and the Frost Moon's light. This makes Kuuvahkki a hydro based light , similar to the Moonfall silver which accompanies her birth which is hydro under elemental sight . She rained down Kuuvahki in Nod-Krai during the war of funerary flame when she was trapped within the Lunar Palace. Due to the Frost Moon being sealed beyond the false sky, as well as due to her innate existence being rejected by the planet,[8] Columbina was originally unable to access her full potential power as a Moon Goddess.[5] Nonetheless, she still held power comparable to that of other gods.[20] After fulfilling an unspecified agreement with the Tsaritsa, she lost much of her strength;[21] however, after drawing upon the energy within the Moon Marrows possessed by the Traveler and Arlecchino, she restored her power to a level beyond what she originally had as the Third Harbinger in preparation to fight Rerir,[22] before exhausting it.[23] After being granted the authorities of the other Moon Sisters, she now possesses the Trilune authority which is to access the power of moons , despite Two Moons are shattered still ,which is the primary source of power for a Moon goddess , this grant her right to use marrows legitimatly ,though after she has chosen to part with a portion of it to restore Nod-Krai's natural supply of Kuuvahki.[7] After leaving the Fatui, Columbina has taken up residence at the Silvermoon Hall in Hiisi Island, where she periodically receives visits from the Traveler and Paimon.[24] Advertisement Personality Due to her isolated past both from her time in the Frostmoon Scions and in the Fatui, Columbina has very poor social skills, that translate on her being seen as mysterious and weird by others. She leaves behind white feathers that quickly dissipates when she teleports herself or other people. In her second fight against Rerir, she leaves behind a trail of small constellations that is similar to Paimon's when she moves.[27] History Pre-Fatui Life Kuutar was born from the Frost Moonlight and the Primordial sea , within the Sanctum of the Oathbearer around five hundred years ago,[28][29] in fulfillment of a prophecy stating that a new Goddess of the Frost Moon would one day be born.[5] She does not remember the circumstances of her birth, aside from a particular song that was sung, which she would hum periodically. Her birth was witnessed by Aila, and she subsequently agreed to live with the Frostmoon Scions.[28] During her time with the Frostmoon Scions, they felt entitled to her power and cared little about her as a person, instead pressuring her into granting their prayers by giving her unwanted offerings.[21][8] Fatui Recruitment Over a century ago, Kuutar came to believe that she could no longer satisfy the demands of the Frostmoon Scions and decided to leave them.[30] Several decades afterwards, she joined the Fatui at Snezhnaya, where the Tsaritsa offered her a "second home".[21][Note 2] Abandoning her birth name, she was made into a Harbinger, and was given the name "Columbina" and codename "The Damselette" by the Tsaritsa.[9] While serving in the Fatui, unlike many of her colleagues, she was never sent to retrieve Gnoses from the Archons of the other six nations, but was simply kept in Snezhnaya without much to do aside from helping Dottore with kuuvahki-related projects, though she stopped working with him after sensing that he had malevolent intent and would try to avoid him when possible. In addition, when she asked the Tsaritsa when she can start the task assigned to her, she was told that "the time has not yet come".[31] Nonetheless, she would appreciate some of her colleagues' company, particularly Sandrone. When she met Arlecchino, she used to creep up on her as a means of "testing" her. Columbina tried to do the same to her but was unable to until she used kuuvahki, which appeared to have frightened her to the point that she no longer did so. She also learned about Arlecchino's status as a Crimson Moon Dynasty descendant. She also had some interactions with Signora, who taught her to express gratitude to others.[13] At some point after Scaramouche obtained the Electro Gnosis and cut off contact from the Fatui,[32] she and her fellow Harbingers attended Rosalyne's funeral. After the ceremony ended, she complimented Dottore's youthful appearance and asked him about the "segment in the prime of his life."[33][Note 3] After Capitano’s merger with Yohualtecuhtin, Lord of the Night, Columbina, along with Dottore and Sandrone, were dispatched to Nod-Krai to work on a project.[34] Around this time, the Tsaritsa called upon Columbina to fulfill the task she assigned to her, which used up much of Columbina's divine power.[35] Advertisement Post-Fatui Life After realizing the Fatui were no different from the Frostmoon Scions that used to worship her, and believing she had no more obligations to the Fatui, Columbina left the organization and returned to Hiisi Island. The subordinates originally under her command were transferred to Dottore.[35] There, she met Lauma, who apologized on behalf of her ancestors and had her hide in Silvermoon Hall to rest and recover her strength from completing the Tsaritsa's task.[21] The Fatui, disapproving of her departure, issued the "Palestar Edict"—the highest of the Tsaritsa's commands—in order to recover her at any cost.[36] While most rank-and-file Fatui appeared to prioritize the order, Columbina's colleagues were not as interested. Columbina would later meet the Traveler after they were brought to her by a Luonnotar. She answered a few questions for them in the process, though she became displeased when the Traveler asked about the Fatui, prompting the Traveler to drop the subject.[21] She later helped them recover a memory of the spaceship they used to arrive on Teyvat. Upon learning of the Wild Hunt, Columbina told them that their enemy was the "Rächer of Solnari," who the two recognized as Rerir. She told them she had only learned of this name from her colleagues.[5] During a battle against Rerir on Starsand Shoal, Columbina used her power to remotely teleport the Traveler, Paimon, Flins, Sandrone, and Pulonia to her residence in the Silvermoon Hall before he could kill them, resulting in Sandrone criticizing her for interrupting their fight.[37] Sandrone eventually left with Pulonia on her own accord, while Flins thanked her for their rescue.[37] As the Traveler and Paimon left, she clutched her chest, realizing that she didn't have enough time left.[37] Later, she met with the Traveler and Paimon in Nasha Town, since the Fatui were too busy and her colleagues likely had no interest in capturing her.[38] She also believed that someone or something was intentionally hiding their spaceship and expressed a desire to return to the moon to find answers.[38] A while after these events, the Traveler would meet with Columbina, learning more about her past. They helped a kuuhenki, Maalaus, get some materials for painting, who created art of Columbina when she was worshiped by the Frostmoon Scions.[39] Later, another kuuhenki's lyre had broken, so Columbina agreed to have the Traveler head to an artisan's house with her to get it repaired. They quickly discerned that the artisan was Aino, who was terrified upon seeing the lyre as she had often seen it appear mysteriously and disappear just as mysteriously after she repaired it. While Aino was fixing the lyre, Columbina inexplicably appeared and gave the Traveler some trinkets to give as a sign of thanks, only for Ineffa to walk in on them. Columbina quickly hid behind the Traveler, while Ineffa recognized her as the Moon Goddess from the likenesses of the Statues of the New Moon. Aino failed to recognize her, but thanked her for the trinkets she gave and that she was welcome to return any time.[40] Columbina was later decorating the field in the hall with the kuuhenki when the Traveler stopped by to visit her, learning that she needed more Rainbowdrop Crystals to finish her temporary mural. While gathering the stones, they came upon a lost child from the Frostmoon Scions; not wanting to scare her, Columbina used the stones to create a path for the child to point the way home.[41] As Columbina is having an afternoon nap, her knee was bumped by a male Chic Badger, who was found at the entrance of her cave by the Traveler and Paimon. While revealing that she can also talk to animals, she relates that the badger was being chased by monsters when he was searching for Lauma. They then went to the Frostmoon Enclave where Lauma is doing some requests from her people. While waiting, Columbina learned that the motto has changed since she last heard it in the past when Lauma said "May the moonlight connect us". Upon meeting and leaving the badger with Lauma, Columbina expressed gratitude that the Scions have changed.[42] Rerir would later attack Columbina, and even with the Traveler, Flins and Lauma helping her, they were easily overpowered by him.[8] Rerir fired a projectile at Jahoda, but Columbina managed to shove her out of the way while taking a minor injury in the process.[8] Since they could not fight him, she agreed with Jahoda's suggestion to run.[8] Upon meeting with the Northern Intelligence Network, Columbina decided to visit the Kuuvahki Experimental Design Bureau and asked Sandrone to help her arrange a meeting with Arlecchino, as she would have access to the Iridescent Moon Marrow which would help further restore her strength.[14] When Arlecchino arrived, she saved her and the Traveler from the Wild Hunt and later helped them retrieve the Iridescent Moon Marrow, restoring Columbina's power to the level it was back when she was in the Fatui; in return, Columbina entrusted the Iridescent Moon Marrow to Arlecchino.[22] Columbina remarked that it was still not enough to overpower Rerir, but a plan concieved by and carried out by Albedo with Durin's assistance using alchemy allowed her to siphon power from him and expel him from Teyvat with Dainsleif's assistance.[18]
