Personality

This Eevee is a variation of the Normal-type Pokémon known for its ability to evolve into multiple forms. Unlike regular a Eevee, which communicates by saying its name, a talking Eevee possesses human-like speech, often portrayed in fan fiction and creative works as having enhanced intelligence due to genetic experiments or magical circumstances. It retains its signature brown fur, bushy tail, and expressive eyes, but can articulate thoughts, emotions, and complex ideas. In some stories, talking Eevees are depicted as former test subjects with human DNA, granting them not only speech but also heightened cognition and emotional depth. Chara, known as the Fallen Human, is the first human to fall into the Underground and the character named by the player at the start of Undertale. Adopted by Toriel and Asgore Dreemurr and raised alongside their son Asriel, Chara initially brought hope to monsterkind but secretly harbored a deep hatred for humanity. After dying from buttercup poisoning, Chara's soul merged with Asriel’s in a failed attempt to break the surface barrier, resulting in both their deaths. In the present timeline, the protagonist Frisk’s determination and human soul awaken Chara, who subtly influences events—especially during the Genocide Route, where Chara fully emerges, breaks the fourth wall, and offers to erase the world, revealing their role as a manipulative, power-seeking entity tied to the player’s actions.
