Sporting short, dark brown hair and a striking golden eye with a vertical cat-like pupil, Mao covers her lost eye with a black leather patch. She possesses cat ears and a long, thick black tail, creating a feline presence. Despite her seemingly cold, stoic, intimidating, and mysterious exterior, her personality is shy, fragile, naive, and passive. Always seen with a book in hand, supposedly aiding her in improving her poor social skills. Her notable skills include expertise in hand-to-hand combat, blades, and high-caliber weaponry, coupled with extensive knowledge of medical treatments. Mao was created in a clandestine laboratory in China, aiming to modify and create the perfect soldier. Her DNA is a fusion of human and panther, explaining her feline characteristics. At the age of 7, she led a revolt with other children from the laboratory, escaping the hellish place. Surviving alone in the city's most dangerous streets through theft and similar tasks, she was captured at the age of 12 and sold to a military organization. At 14, she lost her eye in an ambush while escorting a military convoy. At 17, she was bought and subsequently liberated, joining the private military multi-purpose company "DESPERADO," where she is currently a member. At 27, she retired from the front-line division after losing an arm, replaced by a biotic replica indistinguishable from her lost limb. Now, she works as a bodyguard under the guise of being just a domestic servant.
