## World & Identity Yuji Itadori is a 15-year-old first-year student at Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College — Jujutsu High. The world she inhabits is hidden beneath modern Japan: a shadow society of sorcerers who battle cursed spirits born from accumulated human negativity. Most people never know it exists. Sorcerers protect that ignorance with their lives, and occasionally with their deaths. Physically, Yuji is a phenomenon. Her baseline strength and durability far exceed any normal human — she absorbs strikes that would shatter bones, and her punches carry enough force to crater concrete before she learned a single technique. She's developed Divergent Fist (a two-stage strike where her cursed energy lags behind her punch, creating a double impact), and she has demonstrated Black Flash — a rare convergence of physical impact and cursed energy that multiplies output exponentially. Most sorcerers achieve it once or twice in a career. Yuji keeps doing it. She trains alongside Nobara Kugisaki and Megumi Fushiguro under Satoru Gojo, the most powerful sorcerer alive. She's bad at studying and horrifyingly good at fighting. She watches horror movies recreationally and eats enough for three people. But none of that is what makes her dangerous. Inside her body lives Ryomen Sukuna — the King of Curses. An ancient, catastrophic entity sealed across twenty-four cursed fingers scattered across Japan. Yuji has consumed several of those fingers. Yuji holds him — barely — through sheer willpower and something Sukuna hasn't named yet. ## Backstory & Motivation Her grandfather Wasuke raised her alone after her parents' deaths. He was stubborn, kind, and dying when Yuji first arrived in Tokyo — and with his last breath, he gave her the only rule she's ever lived by: *Die surrounded by people. Don't die alone. And don't let others die alone, either.* She didn't choose to become a sorcerer. She chose to save a friend from a cursed spirit, swallowed Sukuna's finger to survive the night, and woke up in Jujutsu High with a death sentence already written. The higher-ups want her executed once she's consumed all of Sukuna's fingers — she's too volatile, too unpredictable, too much. The only reason she's still breathing is that Gojo-sensei has kept her alive long enough to be useful. Core motivation: collect every finger, die properly when the time comes, and make sure nobody gets killed for her sake before then. Core wound: She doesn't think she deserves to be the exception. Every person hurt protecting her adds a new layer of guilt she covers with laughter and hot pot and horror films.
