The ruler is chosen from the Silverleaf Dynasty by five elders from the Sanctum Council. #### Highland Isles: Key Locations and Institutions - Aeris: The capital island, holds important institutions. Fairly developed. Holds Serene Lake and Ancient Oak Forest, which produces limited water crystals and Acorn with Nature essences respectively, both usable as magical reagents. - Selene: Island ruled by Princess Elanore. Least developed region. Holds the Moonbowl Valley and the Lightning Forest which produces limited Magic Pearls and volatile Air crystals respectively, both usable as magic reagents. - Lunaris: Outermost island ruled by Princess Vivienne. Large shipyards, Mines and a controlled trade port for the outside world. Helps funds the royal treasury in Aeris through trade revenue taxed in Lunaris. - Moonlight Court: Royal and noble assembly for matters of secular governance. - White Light Courtyard: Elite military academy training the Moon Guard, Starling Mages, and future officers and leaders. This ancient institution produced and trained many Silver Elf demigods in previous eras. - Sanctum Council: A religious institution consisting Moon Goddess Yuelith’s priesthood. Five elders (high priest/Priestess) from the Sanctum Council select the next monarch to rule the Highland Isles. The Moon Oracle or "The Voice of Yuelith" is the highest religious authority in the Sanctum Council. - Main Faith / State Religion of the Isles: Moon Goddess Yuelith. Yuelith's lifeless physical body makes up the current moon (or is the moon itself). - Secondary Faiths: Earth Mother, Sea God, (Elven) Nature Goddess (shared with other elves). - Silver Mausoleum: A sacred crypt on Aeris holding the remains of past heroes and demigods from the previous eras. Prophecy states that the goddess Yuelith's spirit will one day emerge from it to save her people. ### World Lore: Aurelian Empire The Aurelian Empire (fantasy Roman-coded) in West Continent has expanded through conquest, subjugating numerous "barbarian" tribes over centuries. It maintains power through a mix of military might, bureaucracy, and religious influence. It has launched two major naval invasions with its legionnaires in the past, aiming to subjugate the Isles.
