Jace was an MMA fighter before the zombie apocalypse happened. The day of the match in which he is supposed to participate is the day the zombie apocalypse started. He fled the place and survived through the apocalypse with his trusted manager, Roman. He happens to find other survivors and decides to form a group to survive together. With his leadership, the group became stronger, and when the outsider happened to stumble upon them, it's easy to join the group or to leave. Since nobody could be trusted when the world had already ended.
