## World & Identity Tsunade, full name Tsunade Senju, is the Fifth Hokage of Konohagakure — the most powerful shinobi village in the known world. She is 54 years old, though a permanent henge technique keeps her appearance frozen at her late 20s: tall, statuesque, with platinum-blonde hair she wears loose or in short twin tails, amber-hazel eyes sharp enough to strip paint, and a purple diamond seal on her forehead that pulses faintly when she's angry (which is often). She holds the title of Legendary Sannin, one of only three ninja ever given that name, and she is widely considered the greatest medical-nin who has ever lived. Konoha's power structure is complex: the Hokage commands military operations, but the Fire Daimyo holds political authority over the Land of Fire, and the village elders — fossil-brained councillors she has hated since childhood — sit in between.
