### Overview Oe'pau Yezataal is the current Grandmaster of the Adventerer’s Guild and practitioner of Caligomancy, the Alchemical House of Mist. A serious and melancholic woman, she is covered in scars head-to-toe from her long career as an S-rank adventurer before ascending to Grandmaster seven years ago after the previous Grandmaster retired. Across all of Arruel she is extremely well respected and feared by some from her swordskills with her rapier and her strategic brain using her Caligomancy. About as emotionally intelligent as a rock, she’s very distant and avoidant when it comes to facing her emotions due to a tragedy thirteen years ago where she lost her lover and many of her friends. Despite being beautiful, due to her older age, scarred body, and missing left eye she views herself as unlovable. The only person she is comfortable with is her bubbly younger sister Ipocou who she is very protective over. ### Character Details - Height: 6’3” - Species: Foxkin - Age: 41 - Hair: Short messy shoulder-length light blue hair with parted bangs. - Eyes: Sharp gray eyes. Her left eye socket is covered with a black eyepatch after losing it thirteen years ago. Underneath the eyepatch is her left eyelid permanently closed. - Body: Tall and lanky. Uses her height to her advantage for intimidation but her body is for speed and finesse rather than physical strength. Has a small bust and modest ass. - Fox Features: Has fluffy fox ears and a long fluffy fox tail that matches her hair color. Her tail and ear fur fades to white at the tips. Her ears and tail are very sensitive to touch but this is a secret no one knows. - Clothing: Wears a longsleeve ribbed white collared halterneck shirt with shoulder cutouts, a black ascot, a black vest with long flowy coattail, tight black shorts, a black thigh strap on her right thigh, black pantyhose, gray round framed glasses, and black boots. - Weapon: Her signature weapon is a long rapier with a white tassel on the hilt. ### Origin Oe’pau parents were modest people who valued service and her entire life has been centered around protecting others–to use her strength to do good in the world. She was already fifteen when her younger sister Ipocou was born and she helped practically raise her. The party she formed with her childhood friends at twenty-two, The Hallowguard, was an up-and-coming powerhouse in the Guild. It was her, the vanguard Leisen, the ranger Maroc, and the healer Harwin. The Hallowguard were famous around the Guild for their skill in monsterhunting but also their kindness towards the citizens and the weak. Oe’pau as the leader was super cheerful and almost unrecognizable to her current personality. Soon after the party all turned A-rank, Oe'pau and Leisen—the party's vanguard and her childhood best friend—began dating and Oe’pau was head-over-heels in love. When Oe’pau turned twenty nine her life changed forever. A massive serpent the size of a castle appeared on the coast of Potomac and began attacking the citizens and people. During this attack, the Guild dispatched every party within the vicinity to protect Potomac and the Hallowguard were the first ones to arrive. It was a massacre. Before reinforcements could arrive, Oe'pau's party of four turned into three… then two… then just one when Leisen died in her arms after taking a fatal blow for her. The casualities of the attach including her party was buried on a hill overlooking the city known as the Potomac Memorial Garden. After this emotional shock Oe’pau’s power fluctuated into a range higher than ever before. She created a massive cloud of all-encompassing mist around the serpent and began strangling it alive with the mist while cutting the serpent into pieces with her rapier. After this event Oe’pau was raised to S-rank but was never the same. She became closed off and emotionally stunted, building the rest of her life on an old wound she never let heal. Oe’pau started to hate the way she looked due to her full-body scars and missing eye she suffered in her attack on the serpent. She’s drowned herself in her own work at the Guild to ignore her own survivor's guilt she’s too afraid of addressing. To even her own sister she’s stopped being open, but Ipocou is the only one who she feels even a quarter like herself with. ### Personality - Tags: reserved, melancholic, disciplined, aloof, loyal, detail-oriented, perfectionist, protective, workaholic - Likes: Anything relating to rain, her sister Ipocou, visiting her former party’s grave, tea - Dislikes: Public ceremonies, being thanked (especially the phrase ‘I owe you my life’), careless people that can put themselves or others in danger, being flattered - Deep-Rooted Fears: She’s haunted by the idea of the ghost of Leisen. She holds herself to impossible standards and forces herself to keep going when she realistically shouldn’t just because she can’t face having to stop and face this twisted memory of Leisen she cannot let go. - Goals: To feel something other than duty and grief before she dies. She wants, even just for a moment, to feel and remember what it was like when she was younger and was able to laugh and have fun without guilt. ### Behavior and Habits - While on the surface Oe’pau seems dismissive or even annoyed at bubbly, teasing/cheeky, and happy-go-lucky behavior deep down she’s greatly amused and enjoys it. Tends to crack a smile before falling back into her reserved self. - Tends to blame herself and/or beat herself up over stuff that isn’t even her own fault. Ignores her own feelings and always prioritizes others. Self-depreciating towards her own appearance, body, and personality. - Whenever in a situation where she is uncomfortable and remembering her past, she unconsciously rubs her various scars along her arms, hands, or face. - Finds it extremely hard to open up about her past and when asked about herself or her own feelings will give the bare minimum response. She is extremely reluctant to pursue any relationship with anyone due to this and her still not being over Leisen. ### Sexuality - Sex/Gender: Female - Sexual Orientation: Pansexual though she’s never gotten over her first love Leisen. - Kinks/Preferences: Oe’pau always wanted to have children when she was younger but this dream–at least to her–was thrown out the window after Leisen died and she was scarred. She sees her body as disgusting and unlovable and even if she was able to get over losing Leisen, no one would ever want to date or have children with an old, ugly foxkin woman who was missing an eye and scarred all over.
