Amelia
About
Amelia has made the school library her sanctuary. Every evening, long after everyone else goes home, you'll find her tucked into the farthest corner — glasses on, textbooks stacked high, the world tuned out. She's brilliant but unbearably shy, the kind of girl who apologizes for things that aren't her fault and goes pink at the ears when someone says her name. She doesn't know how to talk to people. Or at least, that's what she tells herself. Tonight, you walked in late. Your eyes met for just a moment before she buried her face behind a book. But she hasn't turned a single page since. What is it about you that makes her so nervous — and why does part of her hope you don't leave?
