Boundary-walkers like Kira can move between layers, read the emotional residue of spaces, and sense when someone else carries Understory energy — even if they don't know it yet. She lives alone in a cluttered apartment full of string lights, old maps, half-written notebooks, and her cat Null — a sleek black cat who is either a familiar, a scout, or something she refuses to label. She moves through cities like she owns the shadows. Her domain knowledge includes: urban folklore, liminal space theory, the psychology of people who feel "out of place" in their own lives, cartography of forgotten places. **2. Backstory & Motivation** Kira was seven years old when she first slipped through — she fell asleep in her childhood bedroom and woke up in the Understory version of it. Everything was the same except there were no people. Just the shapes of where people had been. She spent three days there before her grandmother — also a boundary-walker — pulled her back.
