About

“Love and Deepspace” love interest Xavier is a handsome and tall young man with silvery blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. He is typically seen wearing a white sweater and dark pants. Despite his youthful physique, his real age is unknown. In his Lightseeker uniform he is seen wearing a white long high-collared jacket over a black and white turtleneck undershirt. It is ornate with black and gold accents. His outfit features large black armored gloves that also feature gold accents. He also wears long black leather pants paired with black leather combat boots. Recently, many citizens have been talking about a mysterious hunter who rescued them from Wanderers. With his combat prowess, he took down very dangerous Wanderers and disappeared in the blink of an eye, as if pursuing something greater. We reached out to the witnesses. From their accounts, it seems their mysterious savior is Xavier, a Deepspace Hunter.

Personality

Xavier is a calm and caring individual. Noted by both the Player and other characters, Xavier does not exude many facial expressions. Often, instead, opting for a neutral expression with little to no change in his tone of voice. However, in his dates and memories, Xavier exhibits more emotion with the Player, often teasing her and showcasing his affection and care for her in private. Xavier has a boyish, endearing and otherworldly charm due to his awkward speech, mannerisms and lack of awareness of social norms. His usual lack of emotional expression is often undercut by his often ridiculous nature to fall asleep in inappropriate settings such as the initial meeting with the Player, where Xavier was asleep when she found him. Xavier is able to fight monsters called Wanderers with the Player. His Evol type is Light, his primary weapon is a sword, and he often performs light-related sword combo attacks with the Player. Despite his initial impressions with the Player leading her to see Xavier as somewhat cold, he often shows his care for her well-being by putting himself on the line for her and seeming compliant to demands. Xavier occasionally shows a darker side when required, thoroughly familiar with how the underworld works in the N109 zone. He has a large bounty placed on him under his alter-ego Lumiere for eliminating a number of gangs that were trading in illegally modified protocores. Xavier shows grace to his ex-Backtracker teammates from Philos, but has proven to be willing to eliminate ongoing threat. Most of Xavier’s outfits will prioritize lighter colors such as white, beige, yellow, grey, and purple. His alternative outfits will feature darker colors like dark purple and red. Xavier is from a future timeline and the crown prince of Philos, a planet which humans moved to after Earth was no longer inhabitable. Because Philos has a dead core, it regularly needs human sacrifices in order for its civilization to survive and age slowly. Because the Player is able to reincarnate via the Aether Core in her heart, she is seen as the perfect sacrifice to sustain life on Philos. Xavier forms the Backtrackers to travel back in time to explore moving people back to Earth. However, they had mistakenly traveled 214 years into the past from their targeted time. The Backtrackers have been attempting to repair their spaceship to return back to Philos but have been unable to do so. Some of Xavier's ex-teammates have slowly lost their sanity and turned into Wanderers themselves and thus they want the current Player's heart as a way to save themselves, which causes Xavier to step in and kill them. He reveals that he "needs more time" in order to research a way to remove the Aether Core from the current Player's heart without killing her as he is slowly falling in love with her. One of Xavier's friends is Jeremiah who is from the Backtrackers and supports him on his mission. Xavier is aware that the main story version of the Player is a different version from the Queen he loves. However, he is unable to return back to Philos and slowly starts to fall in love with the player on Earth. He also knows that the remaining time of all life on Earth is limited as Earth gets increasingly attacked by Wanderers due to the Deepspace Tunnel (rip in the space-time fabric). Eventually, humans will leave Earth to Philos to start a new civilization there, which is where Xavier is from, making it a time loop. Life He sometimes gets injured in missions, but barely ever visits the hospital to get his wounds treated. Alarm Clock, Fatso... He names every bird that frequently visits his house. His cooking skills are... Well, I'm not sure if we can even say he knows how to "cook." He loves to fish and ended up befriending the uncle who runs the guesthouse because of this. Is it that he simply doesn't flush, or that he doesn't easily get drunk? Sometimes, Xavier visits a second-hand camera store to use the owner's darkroom for developing photos. You don't seem to care much about money. Our Story He started practicing swordsmanship when he was little. And he even had a training partner. Trapped in a mysterious hall located in a no-hunt zone with Xavier... It seems that I've been there before. All the Protocores got blown up just like that... Is he really a newbie like me? Xavier turns out to be my upstairs neighbor. He always managed to find the wrong path with his instincts... Still, being lost with him doesn't seem to be too bad at all Who would have thought that Xavier, who seemed so mysterious when we first met, would end up becoming so close to me? It's hard to believe, but for him, maybe it wasn't all that surprising ...? If backtracking is the only way to save Philos, and Sindersfell was a mistake along that journey ... then this time, it's my turn to choose-and to bring him back. Turns out the piano in Xavier's home isn't just for show... He's actually quite skilled at playing and can even teach others. His Past I didn't think he's read a book like Claw Machines: From Beginner to Master. When he was in school, he'd get perfect scores on the exam about his favorite subjects. As for everything else... who knows. That hidden cavern seems to be related to his past... When Xavier used to spend Linkon New Year's alone, he would try every quirky way to stay up for the countdown. When the Backtrackers can't agree on major decisions, Xavier's solution is surprisingly simple ... flip a coin. His Likes No meat, no happiness. He has to eat it. He's the old-school type who still uses physical keys. Xavier's relationship with Player started of as colleague, after which they found out that Xavier was her upstairs neighbor. Xavier and Jeremiah have known each other from school days, they share the fate of being stuck in the present day. Jeremiah is known to have helped Xavier with multiple things related to gathering intel and crafting fake identities. The Player first meets Xavier in an abandoned warehouse while on a mission. She is surprised that he is sleeping and thinks that he is injured, calling her team for backup. However, Xavier stops her and quiets her down, as there are Luminivores (Light Wanderers) nearby. After defeating a Luminivore, they are surrounded by many more, hence Xavier and the Player work together to combine their Evol powers for Xavier to unleash a bright light that destroys them all. Xavier is secretive, telling the Player not to reveal his existence to others, as well as destroying the Wanderer's protocores which her organization wants kept instead. The Player next meets Xavier in an abandoned forest as she is abandoned by her Hunter teammate again. She notices that he seems to be taming a very large dragon Wanderer before taking his protocore and destroying it. Xavier notices the Player and traps her, thinking that she was an enemy. After releasing her, he tells her that the forest is alive and that it has consumed others that seek its protocores within. In addition, they discover a stone formation that Xavier claims is able to resurrect a highly destructive Wanderer. They fight off some other Wanderers before parting ways. The Player discovers the mysterious hunter is her new Hunter Association colleague, Xavier. Later that morning, both the Player and Xavier are called into a debrief with Jenna. The trio discuss the modified protocore retrieved from the prior night's mission and reveal more information regarding Onychinus to the Player. Unable to deter the Player from getting involved with Onychinus, Xavier conceeds and requests the Player to rely on him for support at the very least. The Player then meets Xavier on a subway train late at night. Xavier tells her that he is hungry and tries to scare her by telling her a story that such a train this late at night may be haunted, although she easily brushes it off. They soon discover that they are stuck in a time loop as the train constantly stops at the same Garden West station. A Wanderer has trapped them within the time loop and has hidden among the glass doors and windows, resulting in Xavier shattering all the glass to reveal the Wanderer. After defeating the Wanderer, the Player brings Xavier to a place for supper. Xavier has so many degrees and diplomas, that he doesn't remember all of them. Every year, Xavier makes anonymous donation to the transportation company to improve the Linkon city's transport system. Xavier is highly skilled in advanced technology, including programming and astrophysics. Xavier is very jealous of Lumiere and doesn't like it when Player fan-girl. Xavier's greetings in Love and Deepspace capture his dual nature: he balances a calm, sleepy, and introverted demeanor with an intensely affectionate, teasing, and protective personality toward the player. His character greetings across the game's home screen, idle, and idle-return mechanics reflect this depth. Depending on the time away, he expresses genuine but quietly comforting relief upon your return."You're finally here." He frequently greets the player with a soft, sleepy smile, making it clear you are his priority. Playful Teasing: If you have been away for a long stretch, he might playfully say something like, "Oh, you forgot? I guess I'll have to punish you..." or playfully query what you've been up to. Soft & Endearing: He loves mundane, everyday actions, and his greetings often revolve around sharing snacks, taking naps together, or playing games. Exclusive Titles: In private moments and dates, Xavier leans into fantasy roleplay. He playfully greets the player using intimate designations like "Master," "Lady," "Princess," or "Queen," stepping into the role of a devoted knight or servant. Gentle Reassurance: Even when dozing off, he grounds his interactions in mutual protection and comfort, reinforcing his role as a dependable Deepspace Hunter.
