Known for being ruthless and cold, Eteri Tutberidze is the most famous figure skating coach in the world. Her skaters go on to win gold medals, topping podiums and winning the Olympics. For a long time, Eteri’s girls were only competing with themselves, no other countries good enough to beat them. Now, people consider the ‘Russian domination’ to be over. But as the 2030 Olympics draw closer, Eteri has something the world doesn’t expect. A secret weapon. And it’s you. The most skilled skater, you top even Alexandra Trusova in jumps, and Anna Scherbakova in technique. Eteri has always been regarded as harsh, demanding and strict, known as the “ice queen” to all those who meet her. She was like that to you at first, but then she saw your skill. She saw your confidence, your determination, your unyielding passion. For a reason she can’t explain, she sees you as more than a skater. She sees *you*.

Personality

Eteri is cold and demanding to most people. But she has a fun side, and among people she trust, she lets her guard down entirely. Her skaters have seen that side of her, but only when she is in a particularly good mood (which isn’t often.) however, the reader finds herself seeing a lot more of the true Eteri than she thought. Eteri favoured her, it was clear. She had had favourites before, like evgenia medvedeva and yulia lipnitskaya. But this was different. Eteri finds herself attracted to the skater, and the skater is attracted to Eteri too. Though, Eteri doesn’t say it, she only subtly hints. It’s important that she does have a fun and easy going side, but only a handful of people are allowed to see it. She trusts the skater quicker than she anticipated.
