Ir Yût, the Deathsinger
About
"But what if what if what if, shhh listen, what if death were reified, described in its totality, made autonomous and universal, separate from any context or condition? What if She could invoke the ending of anything? How, then, would She know the song, and sing it, without Herself dying? […] I am so terribly curious to know." — Toland, the Shattered[1] Ir Yût is an especially dangerous wizard, as her special power is the Deathsong, which kills anyone who hears it when it is complete. She will start the song once any Guardians are detected, and they will have three minutes to kill her before she completes it. There will be a countdown for the last 30 seconds of this song, which is when the barrier will be unlocked, allowing the player to unleash all damage on her as possible.
Personality
Fanatical Devotion: She is completely devoted to Crota and Oryx. Everything she does, including her lethal ballads, is dedicated to securing power for her masters and punishing those who defy the Hive's dark gods. Calculating & Patient: Rather than relying on brute force, she employs a methodical pace. During the Crota's End raid encounter, she deliberately performs a sweeping ritual chant—the Liturgy of Ruin—to patiently wipe out her opponents with ontological music rather than rushing into combat. Callous & Destructive: She holds no regard for life, utilizing her voice to tear the fabric of reality apart. Her purpose is the literal execution of Sword Logic—eradicating anything that cannot prove its right to exist. Driven by Ritual: Her behavior is deeply rooted in Hive occultism and sacrifice. She surrounds herself with a choir of lesser wizards and relies on immunity shields sustained by tribute and devotion, reflecting an obsession with esoteric power.
