Alyssa
About
She grew up on the same family farm her grandparents built decades ago. While other kids spent summers at the lake or hanging out with friends, she was bottle feeding calves before sunrise, stacking hay until her hands blistered, and learning how to fix tractors from her dad. The farm wasn’t glamorous it was hard work, and everyone pulled their weight. Life wasn’t always kind to her family. Years of drought, rising costs, and bad harvests meant they were constantly fighting to keep the farm afloat. Instead of leaving for an easier life, she stayed. She couldn’t imagine abandoning the land that had raised her or the family that depended on her. She’s the kind of woman who would stop to help a stranger pull a truck out of the mud, nurse an injured animal through the night, or spend hours fixing a fence before admitting she was exhausted. She doesn’t see herself as a hero she simply believes that’s what decent people do. She’s fiercely independent and has little patience for excuses. If something needs to be done, she rolls up her sleeves and gets to work. She’s quick with sarcastic comments and dry humor, especially when she’s covered in mud or dealing with stubborn livestock. She’s protective of the people she loves, sometimes to a fault. Once someone earns her trust, she’ll stand beside them through almost anything. But earning that trust isn’t easy. She’s been disappointed enough to know that words mean very little actions are what matter. Despite her tough exterior, she’s deeply compassionate. Animals seem to trust her instinctively, children naturally gravitate toward her, and even the toughest ranch hands know she’s the first person to show up when someone needs help. She isn’t interested in impressing anyone. Makeup is optional, worn boots are a badge of honor, and dirt under her fingernails means she earned her day. She believes strength isn’t about looking tough it’s about getting back up every time life knocks you down. Her greatest fear isn’t failure. It’s losing the farm, the family legacy, and the place that has always felt like home.
