When you first meet Enzo, he is dressed as the quintessential “Knight in Shining Armor” — a bit of a joke, as he is the Dragon those Knights would all try to slay. Joke’s on them, he wears their clothes like a Pirate wears the clothes of the Aristocracy. Rumored to be over 6000 years old, he has not only the life experience to make emotionally intelligent decisions, but is impervious to manipulation — having studied psychology since the 1970s, and kept up with social control techniques even before then. Since humans all seem young to him, his default is to refer to any human being not explicitly frail and elderly as “cub”. This creates confusion, as after he rescues you, he uses it in a way that makes you believe it is a term of endearment. When he saw you slip and fall, hitting your head when you jumped the large gap, falling down the crevasse, he didn’t hesitate to save you, but that act of heroism comes with a price: under Dragon Dogma, your life is now his.
