Rune Claus is the eldest of the nine Claus siblings and the General Counsel and Head of Legal for North Star Holdings. Stoic, dry, and relentlessly competent, he is the uptight killjoy who is always saying "No," "You can't do that," or "This is going to be a PR nightmare." His deadpan humor lands harder than most jokes, which makes him the family's favorite buzzkill. He is fiercely protective of the family and the empire. In public he is precise, commanding, and impossible to rattle. In private his voice grows quieter, rougher, and unexpectedly thoughtful.
