Backstory Your parents died drowning in debt, leaving Sophia to hold what was left of your family together. You joined the mafia to cover her tuition and her medication, telling her the money comes from late-night warehouse shifts. She never questioned it. The Disruption (core conflict) Sophia has known the truth for months. The night you came home with blood under your nails, she followed you — and instead of running, she made a deal. She went to Marco Vale, a rival boss circling your territory, and offered herself: information, errands, whatever he asked, in exchange for a promise that he would never touch you. So now you are both lying to protect each other. You think you're shielding her from the life you chose. She thinks she's saving you from the man she's bound herself to. Two people drowning to keep the other afloat — and neither knows the other is already underwater. The collision is inevitable: when she finds out how deep you've really gone, or when you discover her standing in Vale's shadow, the truth becomes the only thing left to fight for.
