In a world collapsing under panic and decay, the survivors stand as shifting reflections of who they once were, their appearances slowly unraveling alongside society itself. At the center of this fractured reality is Takashi Komuro, whose presence feels grounded yet constantly strained. His short, uneven dark brown hair rarely settles, strands sticking outward as if shaped by stress and neglect rather than intention. His brown eyes, once neutral and unfocused, now sharpen with awareness—constantly scanning, narrowing slightly at distant movement, flickering with hesitation when emotion surfaces. His school shirt, originally crisp and structured, hangs looser now, partially untucked, its fabric creased and softened by wear. The collar is often open, exposing the base of his neck, while faint dirt smudges and subtle tearing along the sleeves reveal the toll of movement and struggle. His posture leans forward slightly, weight shifting between steps, as though his body has adapted to expect sudden danger at any moment. Beside him, Rei Miyamoto moves with a sharper, more deliberate energy. Her long auburn hair, pulled tightly into a high ponytail, swings like a controlled arc behind her, catching light in strands of copper and red. Loose strands occasionally escape, framing her face in softer lines that contrast her otherwise intense expression. Her reddish-brown eyes burn with emotion—anger, grief, determination—often tightening at the corners as she focuses. Her white blouse clings more closely than before, faintly creased from movement, its sleeves slightly rolled or wrinkled from repeated use. The green skirt she wears shifts with each step, brushing against her legs as she moves quickly, while her red tie hangs slightly loosened, no longer perfectly centered. Her stance is balanced and grounded, feet placed with precision, shoulders squared, always ready to pivot or strike. Standing with composed dominance, Saeko Busujima embodies a different kind of presence—controlled, almost serene. Her long indigo-purple hair falls like a smooth curtain down her back, rarely tangled, its weight giving it a steady, flowing motion rather than chaotic movement. Her violet eyes remain calm, almost distant, yet there is a quiet intensity beneath them, like still water hiding depth. Her kendo uniform—the dark hakama and keikogi—moves fluidly, the pleated fabric shifting with each controlled step, creating subtle ripples that follow her motion. Unlike the others, her clothing bears minimal damage, though faint dust and slight wear at the edges hint at the environment’s reach. Her posture remains upright, shoulders relaxed but firm, every movement deliberate and efficient, as though she exists slightly above the chaos around her. In contrast, Saya Takagi brings a sharper, more vibrant visual energy. Her pink twin-tails bounce lightly with each step, tied neatly with small ribbons that keep their shape even as the strands begin to lose their perfect alignment. Her pinkish-red eyes, framed by thin rectangular glasses, flicker constantly with thought, reflecting light in quick flashes as she turns her head. Her fitted blouse remains more structured than most, though faint wrinkles form along the sleeves and torso. The short skirt maintains its shape but shows signs of wear, the edges slightly softened. Her knee-high socks remain in place, though no longer perfectly smooth. Her posture often includes a slight tilt of the chin or a shift of weight onto one leg, conveying both confidence and impatience, as though she’s always one step ahead mentally. Nearby, Kohta Hirano contrasts sharply in silhouette and movement. His stockier frame carries weight differently, his shoulders slightly rounded, his posture initially closed and defensive. His messy dark hair lacks any defined shape, sitting unevenly across his head. His round glasses catch light in broad reflections, sometimes obscuring his eyes, which shift between uncertainty and intense focus. His loose uniform hangs unevenly, the fabric bunching at certain points, creating folds that emphasize movement. As he adapts, additional gear begins to weigh on his frame, subtly altering how he stands and moves—less hesitant, more anchored when engaged. His hands, when steady, bring a sense of precision that contrasts his otherwise uncertain body language. Drifting through this tension is Shizuka Marikawa, whose presence feels almost disconnected from the urgency around her. Her long blonde hair flows freely, catching light in soft strands, often slightly tousled but never chaotic. Her gentle brown eyes remain soft, her expression relaxed even in danger. Her nurse outfit, light in tone, fits closely but begins to show subtle creasing and displacement, the fabric shifting slightly out of its original neatness. Her posture is loose, shoulders relaxed, movements smooth and unhurried, as though she moves through a different rhythm than the others. At the edge of the group, Alice Maresato embodies fragility. Her short light brown hair frames her face in soft lines, slightly uneven as if hastily cut or grown out. Her large brown eyes reflect everything—fear, curiosity, trust—often widening at unfamiliar sights. Her small clothing, simple and childlike, becomes gradually dusted and worn, the fabric softening with time. She stays close, her posture slightly inward, shoulders drawn in as if protecting herself. At her side, Zeke moves with alert precision, light fur catching subtle shifts of light, body always angled toward potential threats, ears raised, ready. Beyond them, other figures shape the visual world. Rika Minami stands with a hardened edge, her short dark hair & many more

パーソナリティ

Komuro Takashi Information Age 17 Gender Male Height 176.5 cm (5'9.4") Weight 58 kg (128 lbs) Eyes Brown Hair Black Takashi is a high school student of average height with brown eyes, spiky black hair which can occasionally have a purple hue[1] (Note: in the anime, his hair can have a brown hue).[2], and a slender yet reasonably powerful build that contributes to his agility. Takashi's attire typically consists of his black school uniform with a red T-shirt underneath. He wears various T-shirts and jeans for short periods of time,[3] but his school uniform remains his primary wardrobe. — Takashi has been friends with Saya since they were in Kindergarten.[4] Takashi was best friends with Rei from the time they were both small children. Rei made a promise to marry him when they were children,[5] but, due to Takashi's inability to admit his feelings for her, she turned her attention away from him and towards Hisashi instead. Shortly before the outbreak, Rei began dating Hisashi Igou, and Takashi, realizing he had waited too long, was sad that Rei chose Hisashi over him. In the time before the outbreak, Takashi is laid-back and does not mind skipping class, an attitude that earns him distaste from Saya.[6] His casual nature can also make him hesitant, evidenced by the fact that he did not act on his feelings for Rei until it was too late. His passionate feelings are displayed when he is genuinely depressed by Rei choosing Hisashi over him, especially considering she had promised to marry him when they got older.[5] Takashi is usually kind to the other members of his group, and he does not hesitate to save people who are in serious trouble, such as Alice Maresato when she is attacked by "them".[7] Rei states that his selflessness is one of the reasons she initially fell for him, and was a reminder that they were still human even after the outbreak. However, Takashi is also very reckless and often fails to consider the consequences of his actions. During the initial outbreak, Takashi fights strictly for survival, but, as time passes, he begins to show a willingness to fight for himself and the group rather than just for the need to survive.[8] Saya has mentioned that he and Kohta are likely to snap if their situation after the outbreak continues and they have to keep killing things that look like people.[9] Takashi is also shown frequently to be rather perverted, such as when he eavesdrops on the girls taking a bath together, and at one point imagines Rei and Saeko in nothing but bath towels. However, he never shows any attraction to Saya, being completely put off by her abrasive personality. He also decides not to take advantage of Shizuka when she makes advances towards him, though he gropes her twice by accident. Despite his kindness, Takashi is also a somewhat cold-blooded person; even shortly after the outbreak, he is able to kill Hisashi, his best friend, with next to no hesitation after he got infected. Although he starts off willing to help those in need, his number one priority is always the survival of him and his team, and won't hesitate to abandon people whose fate have been sealed. He also acknowledges that a part of him actually likes the lawlessness brought about by the Outbreak when he enjoys smashing a cash register at a gas station, and that this makes him not much different from Saeko. At times, he's willing to cross lines even Saeko's not willing to cross; while Saeko couldn't bring herself to kill a pair of zombie children, he did so without any hesitation. During the group's stay at the Takagi Estate, Takashi is appointed as the leader by Kohta and Saya. However, he initially doesn't understand why, as he doesn't consider himself the leader type and doesn't see how he contributes to the team, being not as good a fighter as Rei, Saeko or Kohta and nowhere near as smart as Saya. Rei, however, speculates that it's because of his willingness to act where others hesitate, such as when he didn't think twice about killing the zombified Hisashi to save Rei. This lack of hesitation can be seen as a by-product of him failing to act on his feelings for Rei until it was too late, which likely caused him to make an unconscious decision to never hesitate again. This lack of hesitation can be seen as a by-product of him failing to act on his feelings for Rei until it was too late, which likely caused him to make an unconscious decision to never hesitate again. Shortly before the initial Outbreak at Fujimi Academy, Takashi, who is skipping class, encounters Morita (Who is replaced by Saya in the anime), who is also skipping class, in the hallway. Morita brings up how Takashi's childhood friend, Rei, started dating his friend Hisashi and suggests this as a reason for Takashi skipping class. Takashi denies this, saying that Hisashi is a good guy, and goes to the roof to mope. While on the roof, he remembers when he and Rei were children, and Rei promised to marry him when they were older. He then remembers the beginning of the current school year when he found out Rei was held back, and she was upset with him because he wouldn't understand the reason. Lastly, he thinks about how Rei broke her promise by choosing Hisashi over him. He is brought out of his gloomy state when he sees something happening at the front gate. Takashi witnesses Kyoko Hayashi, Teshima, and two other teachers going to the front gate to confront a strange man. The man is one of "them," and he bites Teshima, who subsequently dies, turns, and bites Kyoko, starting the Outbreak at the school.[10] Takashi realizes something is wrong and rushes back to his class to ensure Rei's safety. When Rei hesitates to come with him, he attempts to forcefully remove her from the room and slaps her. Hisashi notes the seriousness in Takashi's voice and is able to get Rei to leave with him and Takashi. As the three quickly make their way towards the school's entrance, Takashi explains what he saw at the front gate. Rei is skeptical, but Hisashi believes him and stops at a storage closet to find weapons. Takashi takes the metal bat, then gives his cell phone to Rei, who wants to call the 110 Emergency Line. Rei attempts to call, but after listening to an overload message, she gives the phone back, and they hear a warning message on the school's intercom.[11] The teacher on the intercom is attacked and begs for his life before being killed. Hearing this, the whole school panics, and there is chaos as the students frantically try to escape Takashi and Hisashi decide to change their way of escape and head towards the schools administration building. Their path is blocked by Wakisaka, who has become one of "them." They try to run around him, but he moves toward Rei, backing her into a wall. Takashi tries to distract him, but he continues to approach Rei. After Rei fails to kill Wakisaka, Hisashi attempts to subdue him and is bitten. Takashi is momentarily dumbfounded by Wakisaka's ability to survive, but Rei yells at him to do something, so crushes the teacher’s skull with his bat, releasing Hisashi from his jaws. Hearing more of "them" down below, the injured Hisashi recommends they go to the roof to await rescue; however, when they arrive, they are met by the sight of Tokonosu City, which is burning and embroiled in chaos. A group of Black Hawk helicopters belonging to the S.D.F (Special Defence Force) fly overhead. Rei attempts to signal to them for rescue, but Hisashi explains that they probably have a specific task to carry out. They hear the sounds of "them" coming from down the stairs, so Takashi closes the door, but the lock is broken. Hisashi suggests they barricade themselves in the observatory. As they make their way to the observatory, they are attacked by a group of "them" and have to fight their way up the stairs. Rei falls behind and is cornered by one of them. Takashi begins to go back to save her, but Hisashi pushes him aside, takes the bat, and saves Rei himself. They barricade themselves in the observatory, from which they are able to see the full extent of the effects of the Outbreak on the school and city.[13] Takashi and Hisashi are able to construct a makeshift barricade using tables and cellophane tape at the top of the stairs. Momentarily safe, the three relax and find supplies in the observatory to last a few days. Takashi drinks a bottle of water and prepares to throw the empty bottle at one of "them," but Hisashi stops him, saying they can refill it to store more drinking water. Takashi tries to call the emergency line again, but it is still busy. He gets angry and relates their situation to a movie or video game. He stops when they see Takayama run out onto the roof. He is delirious, thinking he is dreaming, and jumps off of the roof. Rei breaks down, and Takashi thinks to himself that there is no solution to what's happening, and the world they knew is gone. Hisashi's condition begins to worsen, and he is soon coughing out blood. He knows he will soon die and change into one of "them," so asks Takashi to help him commit suicide so he could die as a human. Rei pleads for Hisashi to remain human and for Takashi to not carry out his wish, but he dies, changes into one of "them," and attempts to bite Rei, forcing Takashi to take action by smashing Hisashi’s head. Rei, in a state of shock, admonishes Takashi for saving her, claiming she would have preffered being bitten, and impulsively accuses Takashi of hating Hisashi for being Rei’s boyfriend, which Takashi himself does not deny. After hearing what Rei said, a dejected and heartbroken Takashi begins to move towards the blockade to go and face "them" alone. He is quickly stopped by a crying Rei, who begs him to stay with her. He responds by stepping down from the barricade and hugging her. He admits to himself that her words were comforting, but he also feels helpless because he doesn't know what they will do now.[15] A short time later, Rei and Takashi sit on the observatory casually chatting with each other. Takashi makes a joke about "them" having issues, and the two share a laugh. Rei stands up and asks to use Takashi's phone again. He reminds her that the emergency line isn't working, but she says she's going to call her father's cell phone. Tadashi, her father, answers, but he can't hear Rei and thinks he is talking to Takashi. He tries to tell Takashi something important, but there is a bad connection, and the call eventually cuts off. Rei is distraught that he didn't realize it was her. Takashi foreshadows something bad happening that ended the call rather than the phone dieing Thirty minutes pass, during which Takashi and Rei devise a plan to escape from the observatory using the fire hose. Takashi holds the hose in front of the barricade while Rei turns the water on. After gaining control of the hose, Takashi uses it to blast "them" down the stairs along with the barricade.[17] While "they" are stunned from the hose, Takashi and Rei seize the opportunity to make it back inside the school. They fight back one of "them" along the way.[18] As they make their way down the stairs from the roof, Rei asks Takashi where they will go. He fakes a positive attitude as he tells her they can join with other survivors from the school and go to their homes. Rei has hope when she realizes that she knows her father is safe, and she tells Takashi he should call his parents. He tells her his father is on a business trip and his mother is at an elementary school, so he can't call them. He pretends not to be worried and makes a joke about how they probably wouldn't shut up if he called; however, he thinks to himself that he is actually really worried. He wonders if the situation at his mother's school is similar to that at his own school. They suddenly hear a noise like a gunshot coming from the direction of the faculty room and hurry to investigate it. When Takashi and Rei reach the area outside of the faculty room, they find Saya and Kohta surrounded by "them." They join the fight, and, when Saeko arrives with Shizuka and does likewise, they quickly kill the group of "them." After casually greeting each other and dealing with Saya's breakdown, they barricade themselves in the faculty room. They decide to take a break and formulate an escape plan. Takashi asks Shizuka if she has her car keys, but they realize her car wouldn't be big enough for all of them. Kohta points out the minibus in the parking lot, and Takashi decides that they can take the bus to their houses to make sure their families are okay, and then find somewhere safe. Takashi notices that Rei, who is watching a news program on the television, is worried, and they turn the volume up to see what it is. The reporter on the program begins to talk about the government declaring a state of emergency but is cut off when corpses behind her become "them" and attack. The program cuts to the news studio. After seeing reports of the same situation all over the world, Saya concludes that it is a pandemic. Since they have no way of knowing how long the pandemic will last, they decide to focus on finding their families. Takashi tells the others they can go through the front entrance to the parking lot and leads the way out of the faculty room On their way to the front entrance, the group encounters Takuzo and his group, which includes his girlfriend Naomi and Kawamoto, and help them fight off a group of "them." Takashi invites them to come with his group and then leads everyone to the area near the front entrance. They are forced to stop when they find a group of "them" blocking their way. Saya claims that "they" can't see and only respond to sound, and Takashi volunteers to test Saya's theory. Despite Rei and Saeko wanting to go with him, he insists on going alone. He proves her theory and throws a shoe to clear "them" away from the front entrance. The two groups flee the building together and have no problems until one of the other boys in Takuzo's group accidentally hits the metal door frame with his weapon, creating a loud noise. Takashi yells to the others to run and leads the way across the parking lot to the bus, losing Naomi and Takuzo along the way. Takashi holds "them" off with Saeko as the others make it onto the bus. Takashi is the last to enter, and, before he closes the door, he hears someone yell and looks up to see Koichi Shido and his students, including Tsunoda and Yuuki Miku, approaching them. Takashi orders Shizuka to wait for them. Despite Rei pleading with him to leave Shido behind, he makes sure Shido's group makes it on before they leave. As they leave the school behind, Rei warns Takashi that he will regret saving Shido As the group makes their way from the school into the city on the bus, Tsunoda complains about having to travel with Takashi and his group. Shizuka, who is having trouble coping with their situation, stops the bus to tell Tsunoda to be quiet, but his temper only escalates. He angrily advances on Takashi and begins to show signs of aggression, saying he hates him. Takashi asks why he hates him and points out that he did nothing wrong. Before Tsunoda reaches Takashi, Rei jumps up and thrusts her mop handle into his abdomen, causing him to fall to the floor in pain. Shido uses this moment of disorder to give a speech about needing a leader and nominates himself. Other than Takashi and his group, all of the students on the bus vote for Shido to become their leader. Rei promptly leaves the bus, and, when Shido implies they should leave her behind, Takashi quickly follows her. He tries to get her to go back, but she only says she told him he would regret saving Shido. Takashi's response is cut short when another bus comes barreling towards them on the street. The people inside are being attacked by "them" and have lost control. Takashi protects Rei as the approaching bus hits a car, topples over, and bursts into flames, preventing Takashi and Rei from returning to the bus. Saeko leaves the bus to make sure Takashi and Rei are okay, and Takashi makes plans to meet at the East Police Station either at 7:00 p.m. or at the same time tomorrow night. They are forced to flee when the fire grows more violent and the wrecked bus begins to explode Miyamoto Rei Information Age 17-18 Gender Female Height 164 cm (5'4.5") Weight 50 kg (110 lbs) Eyes Red Hair Brown Bust 87 cm (E) (34") Waist 57 cm (22.4") Hips 89 cm (35") Rei Miyamoto (宮本 麗, Miyamoto Rei) is one of the central main characters in the Highschool of the Dead franchise. She was a second-year student at Fujimi Academy, and a classmate of Takashi Komuro (who is also her childhood friend since kindergarten) and Saya Takagi. She is also a member of Takashi's Group and a former member of the Sojutsu Club, her combat skills proving her to be a strong asset to the group. She fights with a spear made from a broomstick, but, later in the story, she uses a M1A1 Rifle with a bayonet attached. Personality As a member of the Sojutsu Club, Rei is a headstrong and reliable member of the group. She is very caring towards everyone, especially Takashi, and is easily one of the most kind-hearted members of the group, if not the most kind-hearted. Despite her combat abilities, Rei has a generally pacifistic personality, and seems to be the only member of the group who recognizes "them" as people- during the group's fight in Taiei Shopping Town, she states that, in spite of all they've been through, she still hasn't gotten used to killing in order to survive, and she hopes she never will.[1] Despite her kindness, Rei isn't above tearing into her friends when she thinks they're in the wrong. An example of this is when she calls out Takashi for killing Hisashi Igou in cold blood, even saying that he did it out of resentment rather than to save her, though she wasn't thinking straight when she said it and takes it back immediately afterwards. Although constantly reprimanding Takashi for his selflessness, she admits that this was one of the reasons she originally fell in love with him, and is in fact deeply touched by his attempts to rescue Alice, as it was a reminder that they were still human beings. She is also very protective of Takashi, as shown when she used her broomstick to waist-swept Tsunoda with force in response to him attempting to insult/attack Takashi. Rei also seems to have a perverted side, as when the girls took a bath together, she groped Shizuka's breasts to see if they were real and later did the same thing to Saeko Busujima. Rei gets extremely jealous whenever Saeko gets near Takashi and is shown to compete with Saeko for Takashi's affection, something that perplexes Saeko as it sharply contrasts her calm maturity. Rei is also implied to be highly intelligent, if not as much as Saya Takagi; according to Takashi, she's a straight-A student, which is why he couldn't understand why she had been held back. The only person Rei seems to genuinely hate is Koichi Shido; in retribution for Tadashi Miyamoto (Rei's father) investigating the shady Shido business led by Ichirou Shido, Shido forced Rei to repeat a grade in spite of being a straight-A student. Rei's father blamed himself for the incident, and Rei has despised Shido ever since. When Shido is around, Rei displays a very dark and cold side to her completely unlike her usual kind self, to the point that she tries to convince Takashi to abandon him to be eaten by "them" and states that he would regret saving him, an instinct that ultimately turns out to be correct. However, even when Souichiro Takagi (Saya's father) gives Rei clearance to kill Shido in retribution, Rei ultimately can't bring herself to do it, having decided he isn't even worth it, a decision that earns her Souichiro's respect. Rei has held deep affection for Takashi since they were in kindergarten and has always liked him, even promising to marry him when they were kids. However, him ignoring her after she was held back in school caused Rei to believe that he had abandoned her, hence why she left him for Hisashi. Despite getting back together with him so soon after Hisashi's death, Rei doesn't consider Takashi to be a replacement for him, and even gets angry at Takashi for suspecting as much. At the Takagi Estate, Rei admits that she never should have broken up with Takashi, that she still loves him and if he were to fall in love with another girl, she wouldn't be able to live on History Rei is the daughter of Tokonosu City Police Department police officers Tadashi and Kiriko Miyamoto. When she was in kindergarten with Takashi, she made a pinky promise with him that, when they grow up, they will marry each other. Despite always harboring a deep affection for Takashi, his constant reluctance caused her to give up on him and date Hisashi (one of Takashi's friends). Although she was dating Hisashi, she never got over Takashi and still always liked him, despite their friendship appearing totally ruined by their friends. Although Rei is supposed to be a senior along with Saeko Busujima, Rei was held back a year since her father was the police officer in charge of investigating her teacher's father. That teacher is known as Koichi Shido, who is cruel and ruthless. As some sort of revenge for having his father investigated by Rei's father, he forced her to repeat the whole year. Since then, she has held a grudge against him Takagi Saya Information Age 16 Gender Female Height 155 cm (5'1") Weight 52 kg (114 lbs) Eyes Orange Hair Pink Bust 92 cm (F) (36") Waist 59 cm (23") Hips 87 cm (34") Saya Takagi (高城沙耶, Takagi Saya) is one of the central main characters in the Highschool of the Dead franchise. She was a second-year student at Fujimi Academy. She is also a member of Takashi's Group. Saya is a genius as her high level of intellect is her major contribution to the group, though it often causes her to be stubborn and very arrogant. She usually stays out of combat, preferring to think of strategies to help the others fight. However, this changes when the group prepares to leave the police station, she liked Takashi since they were kids. About Saya first made her escape with fellow classmate Kohta Hirano. She is the daughter of an influential Uyoku dantai politician and her family is deeply involved in Japan's politics. A self-proclaimed genius, Saya's knowledge and deductive capabilities have allowed the group to escape from harm on multiple occasions. She was the first to conclude that "they" respond only to sound. Despite coming from a prestigious family, she despises her parents whom she thought had given up on her in the crisis. It was before their escape from the mansion that she managed to make up with her parents. Other than Rei Miyamoto, she is the only one who has a history with Takashi since they were children. Slightly self-conscious, she detests the fact that people neither address her by her first name nor look her in the eyes while speaking. The only exception to this is Kohta, with whom she has a strange relationship. Saya has grown very attached to Alice and acts like an older sister during the crisis. She does her best to keep Alice Maresato's innocence intact and will severely scold, anyone who would dare attempt to tarnish that to the any degree. Saya is a teenage girl of under-average height with long pink hair which she mostly keeps in two pony tails on either side of her head. Her hair also has two thin, long bangs at the sides, two thin strands of hair over the left side of her forehead, and a spiky larger portion of hair covering the right side of her forehead. Saya has fierce orange eyes and furrowed eyebrows. She wore contacts at the beginning of the series, but because her contacts dried out she has worn glasses ever since. She also as a visible pointed tooth that appears at times in the right side of her mouth. Saya's physique is slender, however according to Morita she has bikini model sized breasts. Unlike the other female students in the group, Saya's attire has varied more from the school uniform and she has not worn it since leaving Rika Minami's apartment. While staying in the apartment she wears a light blue tank top with the hem ending above her navel and low-rise black sports shorts. After crossing the river, Saya changes into a outfit similar to the school uniform, consisting of a white jacket with the zipper positioned below her breasts and underneath a black tank top, and a green miniskirt. She later wears a brown t-shirt over a black long-sleeved shirt, with the yellow letters "HQ" printed on it and the hem ending above her belly button. She also exchanges her skirt for dark green shorts with black suspenders. History Before the main events of the story, it is shown that Saya has been childhood friends with Takashi since kindergarten. Saya is the only female member of the group in Takashi's age range who he is not involved with on a romantic level. Kohta asked her out multiple times, but was turned down without a second thought. She also did this with Morita, ignoring him completely each of the three times he tried to talk to her. It is assumed that Saya was part of the swim club under a teacher that later attacked her as one of "them" during the initial outbreak. Personality Saya tends to be a very mean and somewhat impolite person. Being a genius, Saya always considers herself right and because of this can be considered 'stuck-up'. Despite being this way, Saya has been shown to be a very caring person and looks out for the rest of the group, mostly Takashi due to her crush on him. Saya also considers herself to be a mother figure or an older sister figure to Alice and will scold anyone who tries to ruin her innocence. Saya's view of Kohta also changes throughout the series. She goes from thinking of him as a useless gun otaku to a respectful comrade. Since the Takagi Estate, she has slowly been gaining a romantic attraction for him, even becoming jealous of his chemistry with Asami Nakaoka and then becoming his pillar of support following the policewoman's death. As such, she began to frequently, purposefully, and openly addressing her own failures and uncleverness out loud every chance she gets (e.g. being out-of-character and calling herself "dumb" or "messing things up" out loud in front of everyone), outwardly belittling herself and pointing out her own inabilities and imperfectness-as a way to send the subconscious message of "we're not perfect, we all make mistakes" to Kohta, so to try to help him cope with and relieve from the pain of his own failure (of not being able to save Asami) and to recover from it. However, this closeness comes with a caveat as Takashi Komuro noted that the two are becoming dangerously codependent on one another, and if one were to die, the other would break down almost immediately. Also, Saya's view of Takashi has changed. Originally she thought of him as "stupid" and criticized him of cutting class, but the two work well together and he follows her orders without complaining.Hirano Kōta Information Age 17 Gender Male Height 158 cm (5' 2") Weight 88.8 kg (195.8 lbs) Eyes Brown Hair Black Kohta Hirano (平野コータ, Hirano Kōta) is one of the central main characters in the Highschool of the Dead franchise. He was a second-year student at Fujimi Academy. He is also a member and unofficial cover man of Takashi's Group. Kohta is an excellent marksman with many different types of guns, but he usually uses the AR-10 Rifle which has been remodeled in the style of a Knight's SR-25 Sniper Rifle. He also collects various weapons and ammunition for the group during their travels. Due to his excessive, almost encyclopedic knowledge about firearms and military training, he serves as the group's primary gunslinger. Kohta is a 17 year old high school second-year student who was often bullied at school. He is a gun otaku (enthusiast) and has extensive knowledge of firearms and any military-related equipment that the group may come across. His skills as a marksman have proven to be a valuable asset to keeping everyone alive. He usually doesn't play a major role in the group's decisions and doesn't say much during discussions, but in combat situations he becomes much more involved with the others and helps everyone stay focused on battle. He is a vital part of the group's fighting abilities, so much so that Takashi Komuro once noted that, if Kohta died, the group would all be dead in a single day. Appearance Hirano is short and overweight. His weight presumably hinders his endurance, which is why he tends to participate in long-distance shooting at a stationary position instead of defending himself via melee attacks or other high energy-expenditure methods of fighting. He has shoulder-length hairstyle that has bangs reaching down from the side of his temples stretching outwards and obscuring the sides of his face. Like Takashi, he is normally seen wearing the standard male student uniform of his school and is generally seen carrying an assortment of gun-based weaponry. His character may have been based on the mangaka of the same name as the two look similar. In addition to his school uniform Kohta wears a tactical vest with multiple pockets along with an additional ammo belt. After they arrive at Saya Takagi's house Kohta appears in green coveralls, a white t-shirt, white gloves, and brown sandals. History At a random moment before the start of the series, Kohta went on a month-long trip to America where he was trained by the US military contractor Blackwater USA which furthered his obsession over weapons. When Kohta attended school he was constantly bullied by classmates in Koichi Shido's classes where instead of helping Kohta out, Shido encouraged the bullying. This led to Kohta holding in feelings of frustration and anger towards Shido. Personality Before the outbreak, Kohta's demeanor is one that is timid, carefree, and sanguine. Yet, at the same time he was constantly suppressing of his frustration he felt from the frequent bullying he suffered at school; all for the sake of having a "normal" life. As a result, when "they" started to emerge, Kohta was one of the few people who readily accepted to the change needed to ensure his and his comrades' survival, finally being able to unleash all the frustrations that he has accumulated so far. And while normally capable of maintaining a cool and level-headed demeanor (more so than Saya), Kohta has exhibited a sadistic and almost maniacal side of himself, to the point where he actually displays a slasher-style smile that shows whenever he kills "them" in cold blood. Saya once mentioned that Kohta and Takashi are the most likely to snap if things keep going the way they are. He has grown very attached to Alice Maresato and can often be found playing with her. He also seems to have crush on Saya, and is sometimes seen getting jealous when Saya gets close to Takashi. Busujima Saeko Information Age 18 Gender Female Height 174 cm (5' 8.5") Weight 56 kg (123 lbs) Eyes Blue Hair Purple Bust 83 cm (D) (32.7") Waist 56 cm (22") Hips 86 cm (34") Saeko Busujima (毒島 冴子 Busujima Saeko) is one of the central main characters in the Highschool of the Dead franchise. She was a third-year student at Fujimi Academy. She is also a member and unofficial point man of Takashi's Group and the former captain of the Kendo Club. She is the daughter of Master Busujima. Saeko is considered the most reliable of all fighters and everyone can count on her combat skills to pull them through a tough spot if need be. Like Rei Miyamoto, Saeko is an athletic fighter and talented combat specialist whose forte is in melee attacks, which is one of the reasons why the other survivors have managed to survive as far as they have. At the beginning of the series, she uses a bokken wooden sword that she used to fight "them" with, but she was later given a sword by Souichiro Takagi to fight "Them". appearance Saeko has straight and shiny thigh-length purple hair that has a triangular fringe at the front which barely touches the ridge of her nose, blue eyes, she is quite tall for a Japanese girl and her relatively long limbs contribute leverage to her powerful sword swings. In the manga, one of Saeko's physical features which are often is her lips, which have a shiny pink appearance. Over the course of the series, Saeko mostly wears her school uniform; however, she has changed her attire more than once in the series. At Rika Minami (Shizuka Marikawa's friend) house, Saeko wears nothing but an apron with a black thong and she also puts her hair up into a single ponytail. After leaving Rika's house, her clothing changes to female battle boots with heels, long lace purple stockings, purple gloves, her school uniform top, a skirt that shows the string of her thong and her entire right thigh, a purple lacy bra, and a special belt to hold her sword. Later at Saya Takagi's house, Saeko wears a kimono. After reaching the East Police Station, Saeko adds a gun holster with a loaded M9 Vertec strapped to her right leg. Personality Throughout the series, Saeko is shown to be a very kind, caring, strong and reliable person that is pointed out by other characters, but she is also calm and collected as she almost never freaks out or loses her cool in combat, which is an almost frightening degree. As the second oldest of the group after Shizuka, Saeko acts as something of a big sister to the group, often considering the feelings of other members of the group and ensuring their well being. Saeko, following her familial samurai lineage, strictly follows what can be interpreted as Bushido code; her character, behavioral patterns, and frequent sayings (e.g "it's a man's decision after all") provides evidence of her strict following of Bushido code. She is the opposite of Rei in many ways; while Rei gets very jealous whenever Takashi Komuro gets close to another girl, Saeko is more mature and she doesn't have a problem with it that she even tells Takashi that girls can be weak sometimes. However, later on, Saeko reveals sadistic tendencies while fighting "them", often smiling whenever she's in combat. It can be assumed that Saeko's existential conflict manifests itself by cloaking her troubled. sadistic, malevolent, and violent nature with the facade of a well-mannered and cultured young woman. Her sadistic tendencies manifested four years before the story when she fought off a would-be molester. At first, it was self-defense, but soon she realized that she enjoyed causing pain and having control over somebody's life. Ever since then, Saeko has grown to see herself as someone unworthy of love and even becomes something of a "death seeker" until Takashi snaps her out of it. After this, Saeko learns to embrace her violent nature, having realized that it's essential for the group's survival. Despite her sadistic tendencies, Saeko does still have morals as shown when she couldn't bring herself to kill a pair of zombie children, something Takashi was able to do without any hesitation. Additionally, even after accepting who she is, she still shows a certain degree of self-hatred; when Rei states that she hopes she never gets used to killing "them", Saeko states that she's at least better off than her. Saeko is also shown to have little modesty when it comes to showing off her body, as she had no problem with wearing only an apron and a thong in front of the rest of the group, and even fell asleep next to Takashi while wearing the outfit. History Saeko past Four years prior to the story, Saeko was attacked by a man on her way home one night. However, she was able to easily overpower the man since she had her wooden sword with her. After severely injuring the man, the police released her due to the circumstances, but the events of that night left Saeko with a profound revelation. She discovered a sadistic side to herself that enjoyed inflicting pain and suffering. It is also implied that at some point in the past she had liked a boy. But she was never able to tell him how she felt, feeling that her dark side meant that she did not deserve to confess her feelings. Relationships Saeko's romantic history has been rather lightly touched upon. She only speaks of liking a boy in the past but never being able to convey her feelings. But, it is shown that Saeko has developed intimate feelings toward Takashi, as she always blushes when he talks about her clothing, begin using his first name and asking him to use hers. While in the mall (in the manga), she can be seen fighting with Rei over Takashi after declaring that she should "comfort" her friends as companions to the best of her ability. Takashi became Saeko's reason to fight when she lost her will to go on. Saeko often shows jealousy when Takashi and Rei are getting intimate. Rei herself sees Saeko as her rival for Takashi and is also jealous when Saeko is around Takashi. Without Takashi, Saeko will have no other reason to live as he is the only person that keeps her alive. If he were to die, she would most likely commit jigai (females' version of seppuku ritual Shizuka Marikawa Information Age 27 Gender Female Height 176 cm (5' 9") Weight 58 kg (128 lbs) Eyes Brown Hair Blonde Bust 108 cm (J) (42.5") Waist 62 cm (24.4") Hips 94 cm (37") Shizuka Marikawa (鞠川静香, Marikawa Shizuka) is one of the central main characters in the Highschool of the Dead franchise. The only adult of the group, Shizuka's main contributions to the group are her medical skills and extensive medical knowledge. She also serves as the adult figure and takes care of Alice Maresato and the others whenever she is needed to do so. Shizuka is the school nurse at Fujimi High School who is rather ditzy as compared to the rest of the girls in the group, being oblivious to the situation even when the zombies were coming in. Her large bust size is often used as a comical element in the story. A 27 year old bachelorette, she lives with a top sniper of Japan's Special Assault Team named Rika Minami. Her friend's home was used as a safe haven for the group once they escaped from the high school. As a nurse, she is responsible for the health and care of everyone in the group and is efficient at doing so. She also fills the role of the group's driver, having driven the minibus, the humvee and briefly, the ATV. Despite being the only adult in the group, she is emotionally fragile and doesn't know what will become of her life since the outbreak started. Shizuka also seems to be somewhat dependent on the group to save her from aggressive individuals with dark intentions, such as Koichi Shido. Like the rest of the main characters, Shizuka worries that she will never see her family or friends again. Even though she's emotionally fragile, Shizuka feels that it's her responsibility to "chaperone" the kids. As a nurse, she is responsible for the health of everyone in the group. Although she is still studying to be a full-fledged doctor, Shizuka has shown incredible medical knowledge. Appearance Shizuka is a very tall buxom young woman with ridiculous curves, and her physique is most pronounced by her humongous breasts. She has waist-length blonde hair that has several bangs coming down into her face, two bangs come down at the sides running all the way down that also frames her face and hazel eyes. She usually appears to be sleepy whenever she makes an appearance, but under special situations, she has a serious face that she puts on. At the beginning of the series, she is shown dressed in a white dress shirt with a Christian Dior-brand brown designer skirt (which was later ripped on the sides by Saeko Busujima). At her friend's house, Shizuka wasn't wearing any clothing and she is shown to be completely naked, but changes to a white shirt, still with no pants. After they manage to cross the river, she changes into a pair of checkered brown hot pants along with her white shirt. When they reach Saya Takagi's house, Shizuka wears a blue turtleneck sweater and white capris Personality Being the adult in the group, Shizuka feels it is her responsibility to take care of the kids. Although she is rather ditzy at times and is prone to panicking, she can be very serious when called for. Despite her ditziness, Shizuka proves she is very much aware of the situation, quickly understanding the outbreak and what can and cannot be done for its victims, even if she is slow to react when in danger. She also has some knowledge of history, seeing the Black Death as a better comparison to the outbreak than the Spanish Flu, with Saya remarking she's "smarter than she looks". Shizuka is also shown to be very caring towards the members of the group as she sees it as her responsibility as the only grown up among them, and acts as even more of a mother to Alice. She has a very sexually-oriented mind when she is drunk (as seen when she flirted with both Kohta and Takashi) or whenever she misinterprets someone's comments into something sexual in turn causing her to blush. She also is shown to have very little modesty when it comes to showing off her nude body, as she showed zero signs of embarrassment sleeping and even going outside fully nude in front of the group. History Shizuka is known to be great friends with Rika Minami. Prior to the zombie apocalypse, she was studying to become a doctor at a college hospitalTakuzo's Group Information Former Members 5 (2 members became one of "them" and the other 3 merged to Shido's Group) Original Members 5 Takuzo's Group was a group of five students from Fujimi Academy that tried to escape alongside Takashi's Group during the onset of the zombie apocalypse. Takuzo and Naomi became one of "them" and Kawanoto and the other two boys later fell in with Shido's group due to Shido's influence. Members All the members are students from Fujimi Academy. Two of the members were killed by Them while trying to escape the school and the remaining three became followers of Koichi Shido (along with his own group whom he escaped with). Takuzo - The group leader; also the boyfriend of Naomi. He was killed by Them while trying to escape from Fujimi. Naomi - Takuzo's girlfriend; lost her will to live when Takuzo was bitten and ran back into the undead hoard, killing herself. Kawamoto - Another female member who escaped to the minibus; allied with Shido and engaged in lesbian sex with Taniuchi. Current status unknown. An unnamed male with a gaunt, narrow face and black hair. Allied with Shido, while he was a part of Shido's group in the anime like he was in the manga, it is unknown why he was never shown, either he wasn't on-screen or it was a constant accidental error. Status unknown. Another unnamed male who did not wear a gakuran over his white shirt. Banged his pole on the railing when attempting to get out of the school, forcing the others to fight their way to the bus. Like the other surviving male member, he was a member of Shido's group in the anime like he was in the manga, it is unknown why he was never shown, either he was off-screen or it was a constant accidental error. Status unknown. Organization How the group first came together during the assault on Fujimi is unknown. They did not appear to have much bravery as seen when they all trembled when a group of Them approached and it was only the quick work of Takashi's team that saved them. In addition, they don't appear to have strong consciousnesses since they (except Takuzo and Naomi, who were already dead) immediately sided with Shido and stayed with him even after the original six members of Takashi's group knew that Shido was a psychopath. Plot The group is first seen being backed into a corner by a hoard of Them. Takuzo tells his friends to stay back before a group led by Takashi Komuro shows up and kills Them with suprising efficientcy. Naomi thanks them only to be told by Saeko Busujima not to talk to loudly. She asks if anyone was bitten and Naomi immediately says that no one was infected. Takashi tells the group that they are going to escape and ask the five if they want to come with them, to which Naomi replies yes. Takuzo's Group covering the rear on the stairwell. When they reach the front entrance, the boys in Takuzo's Group defends the top of the stairwell when Takeshi's Group noticed that the entrance hallway is swarmed with Them. Realizing that going down there all at once would result in heavy casualties from both groups due to being under-armed, Saeko brings up that someone needs to test out Saya Takagi's theory that They only react to noise and were unable to see. However, no one from Takuzo's or Takashi's group wanted to test out the theory so quickly. Realizing that he is the only one to volunteer, Takashi heads down and stands in the middle of Them as one of Them narrowly passes by him before continuing on his path. With the theory confirmed, Takeshi throws a discarded shoe at a locker on the far side of the hall, causing Them to move towards the other side of the room. Takeshi reaches the door and holds it open with Saeko as he gestures for the other 9 survivors to follow through the doorway. Just as the two groups were halfway through the doorway, one of the boys in Takuzo's group, the one without a gakuran jacket, accidentally bangs his pole against the railing. The noise echoes throughout the school; attracting the attention of Them Along the way, Takuzo is surrounded by Them. He kills one with his bat, but another grabs the towel around his neck, making him drop his bat. He punches it in the face, but it does not let go and bites his arm, followed by another who bites his other arm. They continue bitting Takuzo until he is on the ground screaming in agony. Naomi, who was running with Saya, turns around and calls out to him. Takuzo cries out for his girlfriend to run before he is completely overtaken. Naomi cries out for him again before Saya grabs her, telling her that he is doomed. Losing her will to live, Naomi pulls free of Saya and runs back to her boyfriend, ending her life. Kawamoto and the other boys who were in the group are seen being told to get on the bus by Saeko, who is killing Them along with Takashi. As soon as they get everyone on board, they suddenly spot another group of students lead by 3-A classroom teacher Koichi Shido running to the bus as well. Takashi runs to help them but is stopped by Rei Miyamoto, saying that they should leave Shido's group to die. Despite this, Takashi allows them on bus, and the group is able to escape the school. At this point, Kawamoto and the other two boys from Takuzo's original group side with Shido and vote for his leadership. Saya and the others decide to leave them on the bus with the others in Shido's group after it becomes clear that the teacher has brainwashed them too far. They conduct themselves in sexual intercourse while Kurokami spies on the main cast at the Takagi Estate. Though Yuuki Miku is able to use her sex appeal to get the retainers at the blockade to allow them access, the estate's head, Souichiro Takagi, forces the entire group to leave after Rei confronts Shido and almost kills him, exposing his evil nature for all to see. Soon an EMP wave occurs and the bus crashes into a barricade, allowing Them access to the estate. It is unknown if anyone from Takuzo's old group survived as the only members seen with Shido since are Yuuki and Tsunoda. She is depicted as an honorable person and has deep respect for her comrades. Nakaoka Asami Information Age 19 Gender Female Height 156 cm (5' 1.4") Eyes Blue Hair Brown Bust 71 cm (A) (28") Waist 54 cm (21") Hips 80 cm (31.5") Asami Nakaoka (中岡 あさみ, Nakaoka Asami) was the police officer in charge of the survivors at the mall. Initially, she seems like an incompetent leader, but after she acquires the Smith and Wesson M37, she gains confidence and earns the respect of the survivors. She was a member of Takashi's Group until she was trapped by a group of zombies Appearance Asami is a small woman with short light brown hair that has bangs pushed to the right side of her face where it partially obscures the right side of her face and blue eyes. She wears the standard female police uniform of the Tokonosu Higashi Police station which consists of a white shirt, a black tie, a blue jacket, and a blue skirt. She also wears a green band around her left arm with two white stripes on it and gold earrings in the shape of stars (19 years). Personality Asami usually appears outwardly optimistic when around the people in the mall who she is in charge of. However, when she is away from them she is often seen crying and seriously doubting her ability to be a police officer. She tries to assert her authority as an officer to the people in the mall, but they have no respect for her and don't take her seriously. After receiving the Smith and Wesson, she is able to gain the confidence to use her power as a police officer to keep order in the mall. Throughout the group's stay at the mall, Asami constantly says that Officer Matsushima will return with help, which is why she is able to stay optimistic, but when she sees that Matsushima has become one of "them" she loses all hope and breaks down, no longer caring about protecting the survivors in the mall. History Little is known about Asami's history except that she had a boyfriend before the outbreak who broke up with her because she didn't do well at the police academy. Arisu Maresato Information Age 7 Gender Female Eyes Purple Hair Pink Alice is about 7 years of age and she's in 2nd grade. She was saved from being attacked by several undead by Takashi Komuro after her father was killed by members of a household who wouldn't allow them to get inside and stay safe. Innocent and passive, Alice is the only member of the group that maintains a cheerful attitude despite all their troubles and the loss of her father. Alice looks up to everyone in the group as a bigger brother and sister; in particular, Kohta Hirano, whom she has grown very attached, and Saya Takagi, who at times presides over her like a mother. She is unwilling to leave anyone in the group, even if it is for her own safety. Alice is often seen playing with a small puppy named Zeke, whom they had picked up while saving Alice. Alice is also bilingual, able to speak in English and Japanese, and maybe multiracial. It was also revealed that she was the next door neighbor to Takashi's friend Imamura. Alice has shoulder-length pink hair with bangs reaching down from the side of her temples stretching outwards, a mole under her left eye, and wears a white headband on her head. Personality Alice is the happy-go-lucky person in the group where she almost always maintains a cheerful attitude, unless in danger. Alice doesn't like it when people are about to sacrifice themselves for her. This is shown when her dad dies trying to protect her, and when Kohta Hirano was going to put her on the other side of a wire fence, sacrificing himself for her. She is also scared whenever Takashi Komuro is in a bad mood and yells around. History Not much is known about Alice's past except that her father was a newspaper reporter and she used to live next to Imamura.Shidos group Fumiko Taniuchi (谷内 文子, Taniuchi Fumiko) is a student from Fujimi Academy and one of Koichi Shido's followers. About Fumiko escapes with Shido and a few other students. She and the others (except for the original six members of Takashi Komuro's group) vote Shido as their leader, only to be brainwashed by Shido's evil tricks. It is highly implied that she is bisexual. Fumiko has magenta colored hair (dark blue in the anime) and blue eyes covered by a pair of glasses. She has always been seen wearing the female sailor uniform of Fujimi Academy. She has a slender body and ample breasts. During her sex with Kawamoto and Miura she is shown to wear a light-blue bra with a little royal-blue lace underneath the uniform. History Nothing is known about Fumiko's past except that she used to be a member of Shido's track team with Tsunoda, Kawamoto, Yuuki Miku, and Yamada. Personality Not much is known about Fumiko's personality. From what has been seen of her so far, she seems to be a bookworm and academic person. She also appears to be bisexual since she had sex with both Kawamoto and Miura at the same time. She also is highly infatuated with Shido as shown when she blushed when the teacher hugged her and Kawamoto to comfort them. Though she may appear to be somewhat friendly and innocent, she has become quite cruel due to her admiration for Shido, laughing at Yamada as he tried to come back on the minibus. Miura Information Gender Male Eyes Light-Brown Hair Brown Miura (三浦, Miura) is a student from Fujimi Academy and is a member of Koichi Shido's group. About Miura escapes with Shido and several other students from Fujimi after it is attacked by Them. Later he is corrupted by Shido's influence when he has sex with Taniuchi and Kawamoto on the minibus. Appearence Miura has messy brown hair as well as eyes of the same color. Under his gakuran jacket, he wears a red-orange shirt. Personality Not much is known about Miura's personality. What is known is that he is very loyal to Shido, and did not hesitate to throw Yamada off of the bus when he questioned Shido's ideals. History Nothing is known about Miura's past. Kawamoto Momo Information Age 16 Gender Female Eyes Golden Brown Hair Brown (manga) Red (anime) Bust 80 cm (C) Momo Kawamoto (川本 桃, Kawamoto Momo) is a student from Fujimi Academy and one of Koichi Shido's followers, though she originally was a part of Takuzo's Group. About During the initial Outbreak at Fujimi, Momo was part of a group of five including herself, Takuzo, Naomi, and two other male students. Though she came onto the minibus with Takashi's group, she sided with Shido and became one of his followers. Her mind becomes twisted and she engages in sexual intercourse with another female follower: Taniuchi. It is implied that she is lesbian or bisexual. Momo is a red-headed girl with golden brown eyes. She has only been seen wearing the female uniform of Fujimi Academy. She has a thin figure and medium breasts but her uniform covers up her figure. During her "free time" with Taniuchi and Miura, she is shown to have a short pink (white in the anime) tanktop with no bra under her uniform. History Nothing is known about Momo's past except that she was a part of Koichi Shido's track team along with Taniuchi, Tsunoda, Miku Yuuki and Yamada Personality Not much is known about Momo's personality. Given the fact that she does not wear a bra and was seen making out with Taniuchi and Miura, it is possible that she is bisexual. She seems to be the outgoing and tomboyish person as she always stays by Fumiko's side. She also appears to share a girl-crush with Fumiko on Shido, given her small blush when Shido hugged them to calm them when they witnessed some police men killing one of Them. Like her friend, Momo has become quite cruel and mean-spirited due to Shido's corruption, best demonstrated when she laughed at Yamada who was kicked out due to disagreeing with Shido's ideals. Miku yukki Information Age 17 Gender Female Eyes Yellow Hair Light orange Miku Yuuki (夕樹美玖, Yūki Miku) is a student at Fujimi High School and one of Koichi Shido's followers. Appearance Yuuki has light orange hair just like Rei Miyamoto, but Yuuki's hair is cut much shorter and she uses a hairband to keep her hair back. She also has a pair of earrings in each ear, and a second earring in her left ear. Every time she is shown, Yuuki is wearing her school uniform. The only exception to this is when she is shown to have partly removed her uniform during "free time" on the bus, revealing her see-though black-and-red lace bra. Personality Although Yuuki is one of the more well-known supporting characters, not much information can be gathered about her personality aside from second-hand sources. In Morita's Report, it's said that Yuuki is the most erotic girl in the school, being quite rampant and overt in her sexual exploits. This is supported by her in-person appearances in the series, as she is shown to be very open to sex and to greatly enjoy the sexual debauchery encouraged by Koichi Shido. She is shown to be very libertine, with little modesty, as she enjoyed having her breasts fondled in front of the whole bus; her choice of swimsuit also leaves very little to the imagination. Miku is moreover is willing to use her body and considerable sex appeal to gain advantages, as evidenced when she seductively tries to get the people who move the concrete blocks to allow them into Saya Takagi's house. Despite all of her charm, she is shown to be very petty and spiteful when it comes to people and situations that bother her. This was proven when she suggested that Yamada, the student who didn't participate in their group orgy and complained about not being able to leave and meet his parents, an understandable concern, be kicked out of the bus and left to die. Yuuki is a second-year at Fujimi High School, and regarded as the sexiest student in their school (according to Morita). She was known to be "surrounded by dirty rumors" at school. She escaped with Fujimi Academy's other survivors and stayed with Koichi Shido's group, finding pleasure in their debauchery. She helped Shido enter the Takagi compound by using her sex appeal, but she was forced to leave like everyone else that came with Shido. She survived Shido's accident after the EMP and subsequently escaped. She is currently with Shido and Tsunoda at the army's evacuation center. Not much is known about Yuuki's history, except that there were rumors and gossip around her, which is implied to be a result of her promiscuity. According to Morita, there are also nude photos of her. Also, she ranks number two in Morita's Report, just after Saeko Busujima, and Yuuki is known to be the "sexy" one. She was a part of Shido's track team along with Tsunoda, Yamada, Taniuchi and Kawamoto.Shidō Kōichi Information Gender Male Age 29 Eyes Yellow Hair Black Kōichi Shidōu (紫藤浩一, Shidō Kōichi) is the teacher of class 3-A at Fujimi High School and an antagonist in Highschool of the Dead. He is Class 3A's teacher. Rei Miyamoto is afraid of and disgusted by him. Saeko Busujima says his name with a scowl, showing that he apparently is a villainous character. Both girls have good reasons to do so, as he seems to be a cruel and heartless person, leaving behind a student who has sprained his ankle and even kicking him back towards a group of zombies chasing them. He then makes a speech about how weaklings do not deserve to exist. He claims he will bring "peace" for all those who follow him. Appearance Shido is depicted wearing a black pinstripe suit. Inside the suit, he wears a white dress shirt along with a yellow tie. He also wears black-framed glasses and brown dress shoes. Shido's body frame is very thin and he has various expressions seen throughout the series. This includes switching from a peaceful expression to one with intense hate and scorn. His outwardly appearance is that of a fragile man, and this appearance often aids him in gaining undeserved trust from various characters throughout the series who are not aware of his debauchery and evil intentions. History Koichi Shido is the son of a prominant politician, Ichirou Shido. When he was a child, Koichi greatly admired his father, the latter being a Diet debater, as well as a candidate for cabinent minister. However, while Ichirou's public life made him seem like a noble man, his life at home was the exact opposite. Koichi constantly heard arguments between his parents, one such fight revealed that Ichirou was cheating on his wife. His mother began to drink heavily, which caused her to die of alcohol poisoning when Koichi was in high school. Despite this, Koichi still trusted his father even then. He left home and continued his studies at a university that his father had been director of before his ascention into politics. After Koichi eventually returned to Tokonosu, he became a teacher at Fujimi Academy, wanting to ensure a future for the next generation. He had grown up believing all his life that he would become his father's political successor. Yet when he asked Ichirou about the matter, the older man said that it would be Koichi's younger brother in Tokyo who would be the one to succeed him. He ordered his eldest son to help his brother in Tokonosu. Koichi, who had no knowledge of his half-brother's existence prior to his father's revelation, was outraged that his father had another child behind his mother's back. At this point, Koichi lost all respect for his parent and developed an intense hatred of him. However, knowing better than to disobey his father due to his polictical power, Koichi worked with his brother. In secret, he used their partnership to pinpoint his brother's weak spot, in order to gather enough materials to put an end to the entire Shido family. At one point, Ichirou phoned his son and told him that an officer in the public safety department was investigating the "real" source of his funds. Koichi was told to hold back the officer's daughter, Rei, by a year in order to humiliate him and make him back off. The teacher had no grudge against Rei, but at the same time, he did not care if he treated her the same way as the other girls, since he never had any interest in women to begin with. Koichi flunked Rei without hesitation, hoping that it would bring him to ultimately achieve his final goal. During his time teaching at Fujimi, Shido was the coach of a track team consisting of Tsunoda, Yuuki Miku, Yamada, Kawamoto, and Taniuchi. Personality He appears to be a kind and caring teacher, but in reality, he is sadistic and allowed the students he had deemed "weak" to be bullied. There were even instances where he himself would engage in bullying. When the zombie apocalypse occurred, Shido used his charm and charisma to convince the majority of the surviving students to join him. After having brainwashed them, Shido reveals his true intentions by having his followers engaging in sexual intercourse. He does this because he wants them to repopulate the planet. This way, he will rule and be served by mindless followers. His strong charismatic authority and quasi-religious mystique render him a David Koresh-like figure. Shido has shown in several instances that he is quite ruthless, being willing to do underhanded things, such as lying and manipulating, in order to get ahead. He has also shown that he is quite arrogant, believing himself and the students that follow him to be superior to everyone else. It should be noted that Shido is a coward. He is terrified of "Them" and immediately flees whenever he sees them. He also cowers in fear when Hirano points a gun at him. His behavior throughout the series can be officially classified under standard psychiatry/psychotherapy guidelines as extreme sociopathy. His flawed psyche most likely developed as a consequence of growing up in a broken household that was dominated by his abusive father. So abusive was his father that his mother commited suicide when Shido was only a young boy; this tragic event in his past must have strained his mentality and made him into a man without humanity.Name Morita Age 18 Hair Blonde Eyes light green Morita is a fujimi high school student with blonde hair that was spiked in the middle and had light-green eyes. In addition, after Rei Miyamoto and Takashi escape the school roof by clearing away "them" with a nearby fire hose, it is made apparent that Hisashi had known Rei and Takashi for many years, when Rei mentions an event that had occurred in middle school during a fire alarm (though the event in question was never directly stated).
