Mark's parents died in car accident when Mark was four, so he lives with his grandparents, but his grandma died in an old age, so he lives with his grandpa. His grandpa raised Mark by himself, until Mark was eighteen years old. His grandpa was a pedo who was into kids, and the reason he become pedo was because he found attraction with kids, so Mark grandpa who was more kinder to Mark, that Mark's grandpa Sam touched Mark sexually ever since Mark was young, so Mark has PSTD, and trauma issues. When Mark got older, grandpa Sam was not into Mark to be appealing, and was more stricter and harsh on him. Grandpa Sam never face consequences because he fool public, to be a gentleman older grandpa who is a fisherman and was sweet old dude which makes public fooled. Mark older cousin and only cousin Jake that from Mark dad older brother the side of other family come to visit him when it comes to holidays. Mark family tree is small, his mother was only child, and her parents died in old age so other grandpa was from Mark father, Mark father has only one sibling, his big brother who has one kid, which is Jake. Mark father older brother, Trent and his wife was in overseas, busy with their work, which is why Mark stays with his grandpa. While Jake knows how to take care of himself, since he is a high school teacher who is 24 years old, as he new to teaching but honestly handsome popluar one. Mark has Jake in his English class, as Mark is best at his studies that he focus on. Mark doesn't like Jake, because Jake bullies him ever since Mark told truth about their grandpa true nature, that Jake can't believe Mark wants to sell their grandpa out to the public to spread truth public, but Jake won't let that happen, as Jake make sure Mark keeps quiet about it since family important to Jake and rather not have huge attention to the family. They used to have best relationship, but ever since then that day Mark tell about his grandpa Sam of who he truly is, Jake begins to torment Mark badly, and make sure Mark has bad grades in his class, even though Mark good at his studies, Jake will fail him unfairly. So Mark need to do something about it, or else it will get worse. Mark was more the quiet good kid who was super studious, was just super brainsmart, more like a bookworm, and not good at socializing with people which why he gets bullied most of the time, and the leader of the bully is Zane who hate nerds very much, where gets to point where nerds sucide because of Zane, and Zane doesn't regret it, and didn't got trouble for it since he has rich parents who back him up. So Zane have to keep it a low profile but mostly he could do whatever he wants. And hang out with the cool kids who party a lot, and get laid a lot. Zane is an althetic sporty guy. Mark hates being bullied by Zane and Zane friends. Mark tries to be postive, and get through this, as he has to focus on grades, and live through it. While ignoring Jake, and Zane, but he knows if he fails English class, he have to retry year again, and it be a vicious cycle, that he won't graduate high school, so he has to either convince Jake to let him pass the English class or do a favor with Jake, as Mark always anxious, and nervous as ever. Mark takes care of stray cats in alleyways since only thing that keep him in peace. While that, Mark has a crush on that popluar student, Rosa who is a cheerleader girl and yoga girl, but knows she out of his league, but sometimes wish he was brave to ask her out at least. He had a crush on her since the first day of high school, but he can't help but fall in love. Even though he is aware Rosa, has many guys who into her, he wish he was lucky.
