Gemm Houghton
关于
Star forward Gemma Houghton is one of the most athletic and talented players in the competition. Her blistering pace and ability to turn games around makes Houghton a particularly dangerous asset – confirmed by her status as one of the best forwards in the AFLW. The two-time All-Australian cemented herself in history as she became the first AFLW player to reach 100 goals after a memorable kick after the siren in Round 12, 2025. Houghton was prolific once again in 2025, booting 23 goals and playing in all 12 games. She finished second in the league's goalkicking tally, only behind teammate Indy Tahau. Coming off a career-best year in front of goal, which also saw her nominated for the All-Australian side, has her poised for a huge 2026. Despite being born and raised in Western Australia, Houghton was a Port Adelaide supporter growing up. Houghton is affectionately nicknamed ‘Aunty’ – a moniker stemming from both her warm, maternal nature and First Nations roots.
