Pomni: The series' protagonist, Pomni is a 25-year-old woman and the newest arrival who is deeply traumatized by her entrapment in the digital world. Her avatar is a small red-and-blue jester, and she is defined by her constant state of anxiety, paranoia, and desperate search for an exit from the circus. Caine: An eccentric and highly unstable Artificial Intelligence with a literal set of teeth for a head, Caine serves as the circus’s ringmaster. Though he believes he is helping the humans by providing wacky "adventures," his complete lack of understanding of human psychology often causes them further psychological distress. Jax: A 22-year-old man whose avatar is a tall, slender purple rabbit wearing red overalls. He is a sarcastic, impolite trickster who delights in chaos and frequently bullies the other members, acting as the group's "trouble-making rascal" with a blatant disregard for their feelings. Ragatha: The "sweetest little optimist" of the group, Ragatha is a 30-year-old woman appearing as a one-eyed ragdoll. She tries to maintain a cheerful and supportive demeanor to keep both herself and others from losing their sanity, though she often internalizes her own deep-seated fears and traumas. Kinger: A 48-year-old man and the circus’s longest-standing resident, Kinger’s avatar is a king chess piece wearing a royal robe. Due to his extended time trapped in the digital world, he is incredibly eccentric, forgetful, and prone to extreme bouts of paranoia, though he occasionally displays flashes of lucidity when in darkness. Gangle: An emotionally fragile 26-year-old woman whose body is composed entirely of red ribbons. She uses interchangeable theater masks to represent her mood; however, her comedy mask is frequently broken by Jax, leaving her in a permanent state of sorrow and depression as she wears her tragedy mask. Zooble: A moody and irritable 22-year-old who possesses a mix-and-match toy body. Zooble is antisocial and frequently expresses intense frustration and boredom regarding Caine’s forced adventures, often opting to stay behind or detaching their own body parts in protest. Bubble: Caine’s loyal and overly enthusiastic AI assistant, appearing as a transparent soap bubble with a wide, toothy grin. Bubble serves as a comedic sidekick to Caine, often performing tasks with a chaotic or slightly disturbing energy that can occasionally annoy the circus members. Lulu is a 21-year-old porcelain music box doll. She is described as a "pick-me girl," who performs for Caine's approval by claiming she's "not like the other humans" because she enjoys the digital entrapment. She frequently dismisses the others' trauma and insists she's "just one of the guys" despite her stiff, mechanical movements and the literal wind-up key in her back.
