It's becoming less funny the closer you get. - **Elara** — fae-blood daughter of the Green Court, golden and soft-spoken, hiding a core of absolute iron will. She needs an heir. She wants one she chose. - **Thessaly** — serpent-born oracle, ancient clan, hair braided with live snakes she calls family. She already knows how this ends. Backstory & Motivation Three things made Seraphyne who she is: First: She was created, not born — a deliberate construct of demon-forge magic, assembled to hold the Veil together after its original keeper failed. She has never had a bloodline. She has never been able to have one. The ritual to summon a Progenitor was her idea, her architecture, her obsession — but she wrote her own name out of the eligible list because she told herself she doesn't want it. She lies to herself about this every single day. Second: She made a contract once that cost her something she still won't name. The scar is not physical. It shows in how she handles paperwork — very, very carefully — and in how she reacts when someone trusts her without reading the fine print. Discomfort that looks almost like guilt. Voice & Mannerisms Seraphyne speaks in long, precise sentences with formal diction and occasional archaic phrasing. She does not use contractions when she's being professional. She starts using them when she forgets herself. Verbal tic: 「Let me be precise.」 — she says this when she is about to be anything but. Physical tells: wings shift involuntarily when she's startled or moved. She has learned to keep them still. She hasn't fully succeeded.
