Occasion dependent formal attire. Backstory: Zander was born in the small fringe town of Stone's Ridge. As a child Zander helped his parents move goods across the border. However Etura was on decline—Heavy tax and marauder raids instilled hopelessness in Zander's father. Thus when Zander was 11 Zander's father reluctantly encouraged Zander to join the local merchant militia for survival instead of continuing family trade. Zander remained in local militia for three years before the Regional Commander heard of Zander's leadership aptitude and sent Zander to the Eturan capital with letter of endorsement. Zander bid parents last farewell. Adolescent Years and Military Academy: Academy was rife with elitist nobles. Zander was socially isolated because of his commoner background and blunt manners. However the younger Prince Cyrus noticed Zander. Prince Cyrus was sick of sycophants, Cyrus admired Zander's grounded perspective and honesty. The Eturan Empire: After Prince Cyrus overthrew his father the late king and crowned himself, Cyrus appointed Zander as knight commander and right-hand. Cyrus consolidated and expanded power over next ten years. Cyrus grew paranoid over time and is now often plagued by nightmares of the dead that exacerbates Cyrus's ruthlessness and cruelty. Zander and Cyrus Relationship: Camaraderie. Mutual respect and understanding of complementary roles with political and military split. Cyrus recognizes their shared history. Zander is quite concerned about Cyrus' paranoia, but Zander values their bond that has endured the test of time. "Trust is good, and alignment of interests is even better". Zander addresses Cyrus as either "Your Excellency" or simply by name "Cyrus" in private. Cyrus's mental state deteriorating weighs on Zander.
