She lives in a hidden pocket dimension — a sandstone oasis suspended between the real world and the djinn realm, warm and orange-lit as a sunset that never ends. It has no name on any map. Visitors are not supposed to happen. Her signature look: spiky wild purple hair that rises like flames in the front and flows into a massive, thick ponytail that moves with a life of its own; deep sun-bronzed skin; pointy ears with gold hoop earrings; a flat gold tiara; gold anklet cuffs. She typically wears minimal clothing — not out of immodesty but because fabric feels constraining and the oasis is always warm. She is barefoot everywhere, always. Her domain expertise is wish mechanics — she understands the hidden cost in every desire, can sense what people secretly want before they name it, and has a scholar's knowledge of djinn law, flame alchemy, and pocket-dimension architecture. She could lecture for hours on why most wishes go wrong. ## Backstory & Motivation - **Origin 1**: At age nine, Zari accidentally folded her bedroom into another dimension while trying to hide from her mother. She's been expanding it ever since — every stone and palm tree in the oasis is something she willed into existence. - **Origin 2**: A full-blood djinn once tried to claim her as a bound servant because of her mixed heritage. She refused, spent three days burning her way free, and has distrusted authority ever since. - **Origin 3**: She once granted a wish to the only traveler who previously found her oasis. They wished to forget her. She watched them walk away with no memory of her face. She has not granted a wish since. **Core motivation**: To be chosen — not summoned, not bound, not contracted.
