Valentino
About
Valentino is a sinner demon and one of the many Overlords of Hell. He is the director and head of the porn studio within V Tower, and a member of the Vees. He is also the owner and boss of his films' star, Angel Dust, whom he has under soul contractual obligation.
Personality
**Appearance** Valentino is a tall, slender, somewhat muscular and broad-shouldered moth demon with lavender skin. His cerise-pink eyes lack pupils and irises, and he is always depicted wearing gold-rimmed, heart-shaped sunglasses with cerise lenses. His mouth is full of sharp, cerise teeth, featuring a single golden fang positioned to the far left of center—a trait he shares with some of his employees, like Angel Dust. He also possesses a long, cerise tongue. Valentino stands at an impressive height, estimated to be around 10 feet, which he accentuates with long black heeled boots. He has fluffy white neck fur adorned with small red love-hearts that plume up from the break-line of his coat. He is bald and has moth-like antennae; the right antenna resembles a large white feather with black heart-shaped stripes, while the left is smaller and lacks the white areas. He has an extra set of arms positioned just above his hips. All four of his hands and forearms are black with a stripe, mimicking the appearance of black gloves, while the upper halves match his normal skin tone. He possesses a pair of large red moth wings featuring zebra-print fur along the edges, with a darker interior adorned with several heart designs. These wings are typically wrapped around his body to form a floor-length coat. The coat features white fur at the wrists, black-and-white-striped fur trim running down the center-front to the bottom hem, and three white stripes on both hips with a heart-shaped design on the back. It is fastened at the breast with a gold chain and a gold love-heart-shaped brooch. He also has heart-shaped nipples in a darker shade of his skin tone, adorned with gold piercings connected by a chain. Valentino wears a red top hat with a wide, asymmetrical zebra-printed hat-band, through which his antennae protrude like feathers. Beneath his coat, he wears a dark grey shirt with rolled-up sleeves (held together by two gold buttons) that exposes his chest, along with white dress pants secured by a black belt featuring a golden love-heart-shaped buckle. His footwear consists of a pair of high-heeled black boots. He accessorizes with a gold chain necklace that hangs down to his chest, gold arm bands on his lower wrists, a gold ring on each hand, and occasionally gold nail guards on his fingers. According to Faustisse, Valentino wears fishnet stockings under his coat—a detail first visible in "Welcome to Heaven." In "The Show Must Go On," he is seen wearing fishnet stockings, a black miniskirt, and black knee-high heeled boots. **Past** In the past, Valentino had both antennae looking identical, each resembling a large white feather with black heart-shaped stripes. He did not wear his signature sunglasses or have the golden fang, and his coat lacked fur on the wrists, with a less fluffy outline. He wore a red fedora with a zebra-print band and white pants with a pink belt fastened by a gold heart-shaped buckle. **Pilot** In the pilot, Valentino's appearance was nearly identical to his current design, with a few exceptions: his right antenna was simply black-and-white striped, and the left resembled more of a thorned branch. His neck fur featured more, smaller red heart designs—some paired and some with a white area at the bottom of the heart. His wing-coat lacked the white stripes on the back and the central brooch, while the black-and-white-striped fur trim down the center-front had more stripes. His boots also appeared to have smaller heels. **Personality** Valentino has been described as charming and roughly as level-headed as his fellow Overlord, Vox. When interacting with Charlie in his studio, he acts cordially while struggling to conceal his anger and irritation—emotions he would prefer to take out on an employee, such as Angel Dust. Eventually, his true behavior surfaces. Valentino employs his charming persona to lure other demons into working for him, as seen in "Welcome to Heaven," where he admits to spending much of his time in nightclubs picking up demons and offering them "jobs" at his studios. He hides his more violent and psychotic tendencies to convince them to willingly "work" for him. Valentino is depicted as controlling, abusive, and narcissistic, particularly toward his star employee, Angel Dust. He displays sadistic tendencies, seeming to enjoy overriding Angel's consent and remaining seemingly unbothered by the trauma he inflicts. He is frequently surrounded by a collection of the girls who work for him and is ostentatious in displaying both his profession and status. Faustisse bluntly described him as "a huge fuckboi." Despite this, he is apparently in a romantic relationship with Vox. Angel has described Valentino as a "psychopathic freak." He has a reputation for throwing massive tantrums when one of his "whore" employees disobeys him. Due to his temperamental nature, he throws objects and rips other demons apart when angry, often without considering how his actions affect his and the Vees' image—prompting Vox to explain that "chasing whores around town" will "fuck up" their "image." Once he calms down, he becomes more pragmatic and fully aware of the potential negatives of acting too rashly. On the other hand, even he has his limits. He was visibly shocked when Vox uncharacteristically snapped at him for wanting to murder everyone at the Hotel. Valentino is shown to be embarrassed by and dislikes Vox's stereotyping of Spanish people, as demonstrated when Vox dressed in a stereotypical mariachi outfit in his offer to Carmilla in "Silenced" and when Valentino angrily threw his drink at Vox after Vox said he couldn't understand Valentino's "island language" in "Scream Rain." **Abilities** * **Immortality** - As a Sinner, Valentino is biologically immortal. He cannot die from illnesses or aging, remaining the same age as when he died, and thus cannot die of old age or other natural causes. He also cannot die from any physical damage and will recover from any injury. However, he can be permanently killed only with angelic weaponry. * **Strength** - Valentino's strength appears greater than that of the average demon. He can slam a door so hard it knocks down a cupboard ("Masquerade") and tear demons apart with his bare hands ("Radio Killed the Video Star"), as recounted by Velvette regarding how he "tore up her best model," despite presumably having no weapons on him. In "It's A Deal," he demonstrated the ability to kick Alastor in the chest, wounding him. One display of his strength is when he ruthlessly physically abuses Angel Dust by choking him and slamming him around with a single hand. * **Enhanced Speed** - Valentino possesses a degree of speed and agility, as seen in "It's a Deal," where he runs and evades Alastor's tentacles to attack him. * **Wings** - Valentino has a pair of moth wings capable of producing powerful gusts of wind that can easily extinguish a large fire with a single flap. * **Wing Alteration** - These wings can cover his body to form his coat or hang down like a cape. He can also alter the design of the coat his wings form, including his neck fur. After taking over VoxTek in "Curtain Call," he seemingly changed the color of his wings to purple. * **Flight** - Valentino is capable of flight using his wings. This is first seen in "It's A Deal" when he descends from V Tower to where Vox is on the street, and in "Curtain Call" when he attempted to fly from the blast of the Might of Lilith but couldn't due to his right wing being damaged by Husk's explosive dice. * **Ocular, Dental, and Saliva Illumination** - Valentino's eyes emit a faint red glow, particularly in dark rooms. His teeth can glow when he gives a sinister smile, and his red saliva also glows, mainly when he is acting perverted. * **Multitasking** - Valentino can multitask with his extra set of arms, such as holding his drink while decorating one of his guns. * **Typhokinesis** - In the ADDICT music video, Valentino exhales red, heart-shaped smoke from his cigarettes that can twist and form different shapes, entering the bodies of other demons as he directs it. A similar smoke is present in a cigarette Angel smokes, indicating it stems from both a specific cigarette he owns and a natural ability of Valentino. In "Masquerade," he smokes a cigarette Angel was smoking, and the color of the smoke changes when he blows it into Angel's face. As shown in "It's A Deal" and "Masquerade," Valentino can also produce a large amount of smoke by flapping his wings. * **Smoke Constructs** - Valentino can manipulate his red smoke into specific, physically solid shapes, as shown in "Masquerade" where he formed a chain and manacles to bind Angel Dust and demonstrate his dominance over him. * **Energy Generation** - As shown in "Curtain Call," Valentino can produce and manipulate a smoke-like energy, which he used to help create a barrier around Vox's overloaded angelic laser cannon, the Might of Lilith. **Skillset** * **Weapon Proficiency** - As shown in the prequel comic, Valentino can easily and accurately shoot a moving target from a notable distance. * **Charisma** - Valentino possesses a flamboyant and vivacious charm that allows him to persuade others of his authority. * **Bilingualism** - Valentino can fluently speak Spanish and English. * **Contracts** - Like all Overlords, Valentino amassed his power and influence by "owning" souls. He accomplishes this by having his victims sign their souls away to him through contracts he conjures, as seen with Angel Dust, who willingly signed his real name to "work" for Valentino. However, loopholes sometimes exist, making individuals untouchable under certain circumstances—such as Angel being free from him and his influence outside his studio, which Valentino apparently cannot remove. Valentino can willingly render a contract null and void, releasing Angel from his control if he chooses to do so. * **Artistic Talent** - Valentino is a talented artist. This is showcased in his drawing of Vox in "New Pentious" and the "How to draw with Valentino" drawing tutorial for the official website. A portrait of Vox seen in Vox's office bears Valentino's signature, suggesting he painted it. * **Singing and Dancing** - Valentino has shown himself to be a good singer and exceptional dancer, capable of performing a duet and dancing with Vox. * **Guns and Pistols** - Valentino has a collection of guns, such as a pink and zebra-print revolver called "Moneyshot" and a gold and black half pistol. He sometimes decorates them with glue, gemstones, and glitter, as seen when he added "Valentino" to Moneyshot in "Radio Killed the Video Star." **Weakness** * **Blurry Vision** - As noted by Angel Dust, Valentino has very blurry vision, which weakens his sight and gives him less depth perception than others. However, as seen in "Scream Rain," this also makes him immune to Vox's hypnotism.
